1. CONTENTS AND CONVENTIONS
This manual contains all the indications and suggestions necessary for the installation, use and
maintenance of WS 2 series air purifiers.
2. SYMBOLS AND TERMINOLOGY
Regulations on Personal Safety
Partial or total non-compliance with these regulations may pose a serious hazard
to the safety or health of exposed persons.
Regulations on Equipment integrity
Partial or total non-compliance with these prescriptions may result in damage to
the unit and/or other machines connected to it.
Other indications and Notes of particular importance
Notes of particular importance that are not included in the two previous
classifications.
This symbol calls attention to points concerning environment protection.
3. RIGHTS
All rights reserved. The reproduction, registration or disclosure, full or partial, of this Manual in any format
and with any means, whether mechanical, photographic, acoustic or other, without LNS written
authorisation is prohibited. LNS cannot be held liable for any errors in this manual nor for any problems
that may arise.
LNS and its branches cannot be held liable for any claims, losses, costs or damages sustained or
incurred by the purchaser of this product or third parties due to accidents, poor use, abuse or resulting
from alterations, repairs or transformations not authorised by LNS.
LNS and its branches cannot be held liable for any damages and problems due to the use of accessories
and products other than those supplied or approved by LNS.
The product names indicated in this manual are registered trademarks.
The information contained in this manual are provided by way of example and are not binding in any way.

4. WARRANTY
The LNS supplier guarantees its products to be free of defects that may hinder normal use for a period of
365 days starting from the date of installation which, unless otherwise stipulated between the parties,
must not take place more than sixty days from the delivery date.
The warranty is ex works and, upon discretion of the supplier, is limited to repair or total replacement of
products that prove to be objectively defective or unsuitable for the use for which they were designed.
The buyer undertakes to communicate any irregularity found within 7 days to the supplier and to make the
product deemed defective available to the supplier. In order to prevent further damage, or upon specific
request from the supplier, the buyer undertakes to not use the unit from the moment the irregularity is
found.
Failure to communicate the irregularity within the indicated time or further damage to the unit caused by
use may, upon the supplier's discretion, reduce or entirely void the warranty.
The warranty is ex the supplier's factory or ex works unless otherwise specified by the supplier.
In the event of repair work done on the customer's premises, the warranty does not cover the costs of
meals, accommodations and travel.
The warranty does not cover all imperfections or defects attributable to specific requests, material or
immaterial by the buyer or other persons acting in name of and on behalf of the buyer himself.
The warranty does not cover damage due to improper or non-compliant use of the unit, including
improper use or use not covered by the technical manual that accompanies the product.
Attempts to repair the unit by external personnel or personnel not directly commissioned by LNS will
reduce or entirely void the warranty.
Except in the event of wilful misconduct or gross negligence attributable to LNS, compensation cannot
exceed the value of the product that caused the damage.
FOX is not liable for damages caused by failed or delayed productions due to unit malfunction or
breakdown.

5. SAFETY PRESCRIPTIONS
Only those individuals who know the product and are sufficiently qualified, can install, maintain
and, where necessary, repair the product. The customer must provide the resources for internal
monitoring, instructions for maintenance, work organisation, personnel training and availability of
installation and use instructions.
All individuals who work on this machine, must have read and understood the instructions in this
manual. LNS cannot be held liable for any accidents or damages to property due to failure to
follow the safety instructions.
Do not use the equipment without having
first read the safety rules and instructions for
use.
Do not allow unskilled personnel, minors or
individuals under the influence of drugs or
alcohol to use the equipment.
Loose clothing, long hair and jewellery may
be dangerous.
Do not remove guards when the equipment
is running.
Do not grasp moving or rotating objects or
other objects near them.
If certain guards must be removed for
maintenance, they must be reassembled at
the end of maintenance.
Performing maintenance inside the
switchboard when the equipment is live is
prohibited.
Bridging or removing switches, main
switches and, above all, safety switches is
strictly prohibited.
When moving, be careful not to collide with
the equipment to avoid damages.
Before operating the unit described below, we ask that you carefully read this manual, paying particular
attention to all the Regulations on personal safety and unit integrity
This unit was designed and produced in compliance with the following European Community safety
directives:
Machine directive 2006/42/EC
Low voltage directive 2006/95/EC
Electromagnetic compatibility directive 2004/108/EC
In compliance with the safety directives, each residual risk identified during the risk analysis has been
inserted and highlighted in this document. Specific hazard and/or warning labels have been placed on the
unit for additional safety.

6. SAFETY ANALYSIS FOR CORRECT INSTALLATION
Consider the following points before installing the machine:
Consider the safety procedures that reduce the risk to an acceptable level;
Define the fields of application and use and assess what is needed for correct use and/or
approach;
Identify the potential risk sources, including the possible malfunctions and incorrect use
associated with each possible use. Risks could be due to:
o The machine tool in which WS 2 is integrated;
o its interface with other equipment,
o operator interaction with the machine
Assessment of risks associated with WS 2 :
o programming risks
o operating risks
o use risks
o maintenance risks
Protection method selection:
o use of protection devices
o application of signs
o observance of safety procedures
7. MAIN SAFETY REGULATIONS
1) Consult this instruction manual thoroughly before installing, using or servicing the unit
2) Make sure the unit is isolated from the power supply (see maintenance chapter) before servicing it
3) Wear suitable protective (accident-prevention) clothing during installation and maintenance.

9. UNIT RANGE OF USE
9.1. Proper uses
The WS series of air purifiers was designed for:
Air purification of mist, whole, emulsified, synthetic oil, etc. on machine tools or other similar
equipment.
In combination with additional suitable filters, purifiers are able to remove further pollutants such as fumes
generated by the use of the same cooling liquids.
9.2. Improper uses
Extraction of potentially flammable fumes.
Extraction of potentially explosive substances.
Extraction of solvents, paint or other adhesive substances.
Extraction of acid or base substances or those with corrosive properties.
Personal safety unit integrity
LNS is not liable for any injuries to persons or damage to things caused by
improper use of the unit.
9.3. Operating conditions
Allowed operating conditions:
Temperature: from 5 to 40 ° C.
Room air relative humidity: from 30 to 85%.
Extracted air relative humidity: from 30 to 98%.
Maximum installation altitude: 1000 m above mean sea level
Max. concentration oily mist: 360 mg/m3
Unit integrity
LNS is not liable for any damage to the unit due to use in operating conditions different from
the ones specified above.

2. HANDLING AND TRANSPORT
2.1. Handling and transporting packed material
Personal safety unit integrity
LNS is not liable for any injuries to persons or damage to things caused by
handling procedures that are non-compliant or contrary to safety standards.
The unit must be handled by properly trained personnel with appropriate lifting and transport equipment
chosen according to the weight and shape of the load.
The unit weight and indications for its proper handling are found on the individual packaging.
2.2. Unit handling and transport
Each unit is equipped with four fixed eye bolts that must be used exclusively for handling the machine
during the first installation or during subsequent removal for extraordinary maintenance.
Personal safety unit integrity
Lifting must be done by trained personnel using equipment with suitable
features for lifting the load.
Only use belt slings, with capacity suited to the load, to correctly lift the equipment, hooking them to the
specific lifting rings.
2.3. STORAGE
Keep units in a dry place away from direct exposure to the elements in the following environmental
conditions:
Temperature: 0°C 40°C
Relative humidity: 30 80 %
