Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the whole plates (see cleaning) and re-
move possible protective oil, spread at the factory, from the surface.
Check that the applience is installed correctly and that the electric conductor is connected.
Switch the circuit breaker to position 1 and set the temperature regulator to 200 °C and
leave on for at least 20 minuits, in order to burn eventual protective oil.
Check that the juice collector is in place. Switch the circuit breaker to position 1 and set
the temperature regulator to grilling temperature clockwise; The pilot lights will light up.
The green light informs that the device is on and the yellow light lights up when the tem-
perature resistors are on.
When the temperature reaches the set value, the yellow pilot light goes out.
The product to be grilled, except for bread products, should be greased with oil or frying
emulsion, which stands high temperatures. Avoid using unnecessery oil and grease when
grilling.
Clean the grilling area from grilling waste with a cleaning brush between grilling. This
way you do not get bad smell from burning grilling waste.
Empty the juice collector regularely.
When not grilling, keep the upper plate on the lower plate. This way you save energy. If
there is a long time between grilling, set the temperature to 50 –100 °C on standby. The
applience heats back up to grilling temperature in a few minutes.
Switch off the grill by switching the circuit breaker to position 0.
The device has an overheating protection, which goes off if the temperature probe is de-
fective. This prevents dangerously high temperatures from arising. If the overheat protec-
tion goes off during normal every day use, do not use the device before a professional
service man has inspected it.
