Connecting to an Aerial or Cable Television Network

Connect the aerial or network input cable to the ANT.IN terminal on the TV.

Connecting a VCR or (S-VHS VCR)
Connect the cable or antenna to the ANTENNA IN terminal on the back of the VCR.
Connect an RF cable between the ANTENNA OUT terminal on the VCR and the ANT. IN terminal on the TV.
Connect an audio cable between the AUDIO OUT jacks on the VCR and the L-AUDIO-R jacks on the TV.
Connect a video (or S-Video) cable between the VIDEO (or S-VIDEO) OUT jack on the VCR and
the VIDEO (or S-VIDEO) jack on the TV.

If you have a “mono” (non-stereo) VCR, use a Y-connector (not supplied) to hook up to the
L-AUDIO-R
jacks on the TV. If your VCR is stereo, you must connect two cables.
An S-Video cable is usually included with an S-VHS VCR.

Connect a DVI-D cable between the DVI IN jack on the TV and the DVI OUT jack
on the DVD player/Samsung Set-top box.
Connect an audio cable between the DVI AUDIO IN (L/R) jacks on the TV and the
AUDIO OUT jacks on the DVD player/Samsung Set-top box.
DVI-D does not support PC function.

Connect an audio cable between the COMPONENT AUDIO IN (L/R) jacks on the TV and
the AUDIO OUT jacks on the DVD player/Samsung Set-top box.
Connect a video cable between the COMPONENT IN (Y, P
B, PR) jacks on the TV and the
COMPONENT VIDEO OUT (Y, P
b, Pr) jacks on the DVD player/ Samsung Set-top box.
Each external input source device (DVD, STB, VCR etc.) has a different back panel
configuration.

Connecting a Headphone & Subwoofer

Connect an audio cable between the INPUT jack on an active (powered) Sub woofer and the
SUB WOOFER OUT jack on the TV.
Prolonged use of headphones at a high volume may damage your hearing.
Plug a set of headphones into the 3.5mm mini-jack socket on the TV.
An external subwoofer helps to emphasize low frequencies.
Connecting a Home Theater System

FAQ
If a still image is displayed for an
extended period of time, residual
images or blurring may appear.
When you need to leave the TV unused
for an extended period of time, adjust
the settings so that the TV automatically
goes into energy saving mode or
activates the screen saver to display
moving images.
No picture or sound.
Try another channel.
Press the SOURCE button.
Make sure the TV is plugged in.
Check the antenna connections.
Poor picture

Adjust the antenna.
Check all wire connections.
Image is not centered on the

Adjust the horizontal and vertical

Clean the upper edge of the remote
control (transmission window).
