Framing for Fan System
1. Frame opening for fan should be
square and 1/2" larger than fan size.
(Example: For a 10" fan, the rough
opening should be 10½" x 10½".)
2. Frame opening for intake shutters
should be square and 1/2" larger
than the shutter size.
(Example: For 10" shutter, the rough
opening should be 10½" x 10½".)
Optional shutter locations shown
with asterisk(¹).
3. If trim and finish work is required
around fan or shutter, then the
frame opening is 3½" larger than fan
or shutter size.
Fan System Options
Fan Speed Control:
Provides variation of fan speed to
match the season. High speed in
summer, slower in spring and fall,
and very slow speed in winter to
avoid sudden chilling of the
greenhouse.
Shutter Motor:
Provides opening and closing of the
shutter(s) and relieves starting load
on fan motor. Use only with heavy-
duty, aluminum frame shutters.
See Wiring Diagrams, page 2.
