Information about these operating instructions
Congratulations on the purchase of your new appliance.
You have selected a high quality product. These operating
instructions are a part of the Aroma Diffuser SAD12B2
(hereafter referred to as the appliance or product) and they
contain important information about the intended use, safety,
connection and operation of the appliance. These operating
instructions must be constantly kept available and close to the
appliance. Every person operating or troubleshooting the ap-
pliance must first read the instructions. Retain these operating
instructions and pass them on, together with the appliance, to
any future owner.

Intended use
This appliance is intended only for domestic use and for
refreshing and humidifying air in enclosed spaces. This appli-
ance is not intended for any other purpose, nor for use beyond
the scope described in these operating instructions.

WARNING indicates a hazardous situation that, if not
avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
NOTICE indicates information, which is considered
important, but not hazardous (e. g. messages related to

In this section you will receive important safety information
regarding the handling of the appliance. Incorrect usage can,
however, lead to personal and property damage.

Basic safety instructions
For safe handling of the appliance observe the following
safety information:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
Before use, check the appliance for signs
of visible external damage. Do not operate
an appliance that is damaged or has been
dropped. There is also a risk of personal
injury!
This appliance may be used by children who
are 8 years of age or older and by persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and know-
ledge, if they are supervised or have been in-
structed in the safe use of the appliance and
understand the potential risks. Children must not
play with the appliance. Children should not

carry out cleaning and maintenance tasks
without supervision.
Operate the appliance only with the supplied
power adapter.
The appliance and adapter may only be
used in dry interior rooms.
Place the appliance only on flat surfaces to
ensure it cannot tip over.
Repairs should only be carried out by autho-
rized specialist companies or by the customer
service department. Incorrect repairs can
result in significant risks for the user. In addi-
tion, warranty claims become void.
To avoid risks, arrange for defective power
plugs and/or cords to be replaced immedi-
ately by qualified technicians or our customer
service department.
This appliance may not be exposed to rain.
Protect the appliance from moisture and the
penetration of liquids and objects into the
housing. NEVER submerse the appliance in
water and do not place objects filled with
liquids (such as vases) on the appliance.
The appliance could be irreparably damaged!

Before filling/emptying the water tank and
before cleaning, disconnect the plug from the
power socket.
Do not operate the appliance close to open
flames (e.g. candles). The appliance could
be irreparably damaged!
Avoid direct exposure to the sun. The appli-
ance could be irreparably damaged!
Always disconnect the power cord from the
socket by pulling on the plug; do not pull on
the cord itself. Otherwise, the power cord
could be damaged.
This product contains chemicals known to the
State of California to cause cancer and birth
defects or other reproductive harm.
Important cord information
This appliance has a polarized plug. To reduce
the risk of electric shock, this plug only fits into
a polarized outlet in one way. If the plug does
not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

A short power supply cord (or detachable
power supply cord) should be used to reduce
the risk resulting from becoming entangled in,
or tripping over a longer cord.
Longer detachable power supply cords or
extensions cords may be used if they are
used carefully.
If a longer detachable power supply cord or
extension cord is used:
1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set
or extension cord should be at least as great
as the electrical rating of the appliance;
2) The cord should be arranged so that it
will not drape over the countertop or table-
top where it can be pulled on by children or
tripped over unintentionally; and
3) If the appliance has a grounded plug, the
cord set or extension cord should also be a
grounded 3-wire cord.

the requirements for the installation site and the electrical
connection of the appliance.

If the contents are incomplete, or have been damaged
due to defective packaging or transportation, contact the
service hotline (see section 3 year limited warranty).
Unpacking
Remove all parts of the appliance and these operating
instructions from the box.
Remove all packaging materials from the appliance.
Disposal of packaging
The packaging protects the appliance against transport damage.
The packaging materials have been selected for their environ-
mental friendliness and ease of disposal, and are therefore
recyclable.
Returning the packaging into the material cycle
conserves raw materials and reduces the amount of
waste generated. Dispose of packaging materials
that are no longer needed in accordance with
applicable local regulations.

Electrical connection
Before you connect the appliance to the power supply,
check to ensure that the intended power source matches
the required input voltage on the rating plate. To avoid
possible damage to the appliance this data must match.
Check to ensure that the cord for the power adapter is
not damaged and that it does not lead over hot surfaces
and/or sharp edges; otherwise it could be damaged.
Ensure that the cord for the power adapter is not
stretched too far or kinked.
Connect the power adapter to the appliance by inserting
the plug into the plug socket on the underside of the
appliance.
Handling and operation
Initial use
Use only 100% essential oils.
Pay attention to the instructions by the manufacturer of the
essential oils.
It is possible that oil drops may cause damage to furniture
surfaces. If necessary, place a cloth under the appliance.
Place the appliance on a level and stable surface.

Remove the lid and fill the water tank , by using the
supplied measuring beaker, with max. 4.0 oz of clean
water. Pay attention to the maximum filling level .
Add 3 to 5 drops of the desired essential oil to the water.
Then replace the lid onto the water tank . Ensure that
the steam outlet
is not placed directly above the ventila-
tion slot ; otherwise no steam can escape.
Insert the power adapter into the power socket.
Functions
Pressing the
on/off button

enables several functions:
1st press: The appliance is turned on, the fragrant mist
and LED color changing sequence starts.
2nd press: Your favourite color is selected, the fragrant
mist production continues.
3rd press: The colored light is turned off completely,
the fragrant mist production continues.
4th press: All functions are turned off.
he appliance turns off automatically as soon as the liquid
in the water tank has been used up.
Damage to the appliance!
NEVER tilt the appliance or try to empty it during opera-
tion.
Be sure to disconnect the power adapter from the power
socket before filling or emptying the appliance.

Cleaning/Storage/Disposal
Damage to the appliance!
To avoid irreparable damage when you are cleaning the
appliance ensure that no moisture can penetrate into it.
Make sure to remove the power adapter from the
power socket before cleaning the appliance.
To avoid damage, do not empty the appliance through
the ventilation slot . To empty it, follow the pouring
direction arrow on the water tank .
Under no circumstances should you try to remove calcium
deposits with a pointed or sharp object. The appliance
could be irreparably damaged.
Cleaning/descaling the appliance
Clean the water tank after each use to remove oil
residue as completely as possible. Use a soft and slightly
damp cloth. In case of stubborn stains, place a few drops
of mild detergent on the damp cloth.
Use common retail sunflower oil to remove discolorations
caused by essential oils from the water container .
Should the steam production diminish, the ceramic disc
located at the bottom of the water tank must be cleaned
with a slightly moistened cotton bud.
Clean the surfaces of the appliance with a soft and dry cloth.

To descale the appliance, use a standard commercial
liquid descaling agent. Pay attention to the manufacturers
instructions for your descaler.
Fill the water tank to the maximum filling level with
descaler and let it stand until the calcium/limescale is fully
dissolved.
Pour out the dirty water and clean the water tank with
a soft and slightly damp cloth.
Storage
Should you decide to not use the appliance for an extended
period, disconnect it from the power supply and store it in a
clean and dry location away from direct sunlight.
Disposing of the appliance
Electronic devices may not be thrown away as part of normal
household trash. If you can no longer use your electronic
device, dispose of it in accordance with the legal provisions
applicable in your state. This will ensure that old electronic
devices are recycled and environmental pollution is kept to a
minimum. Further information about disposal is available on
the Internet at www.epa.gov

What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers:
Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.
Damage not caused by normal wear and tear or failure to
follow the safety and maintenance instructions provided in
the user manual.
What is not covered by the warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
Normal wear and tear of the product, including fragile
parts (such as switches, glass, etc.);
Improper use or transport;
Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;
Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, fire, water, etc.);
Tampering with the product (such as removing cover, un-
screwing screws etc.)
Consequential and incidental damages are also not covered
under this warranty. However, some states do not allow the
exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages,
so this limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
What is the period of coverage and warranty
resolution?
The warranty is for 3 years from the date of purchase.
At our discretion, product will either be refunded or replaced.
