Remove the top stacker
Switch the printer o.
Remove the screw.
Remove the right accessory cover.Remove the screw.
Remove the left accessory cover.

Unplug the connector cable.
Remove the diverter valve cover.
Remove six screws and the lateral cover at front panel side.
Remove three screws and lateral cover at other side.
Remove the paper output stacker covers, one from each side.
Unscrew two M4 x 8 mm screws (four total) at each side and
remove the module.
Unplug the cable.
Unplug the cable.

Replace the pinches beam
With the door open, extract the top hooks and remove the
module.
Loosen six M4 x 8mm screws at each side (twelve total).
Remove the structure. Unplug the two sensors.
Unplug the two cables. Do not remove or loosen the screws highlighted in the above
image.

Remove the diverter
Perform the removal process in reverse to install the new
paper output pinch beam.
Remove the paper output pinch system.Remove the screws highlighted in the above image.
Remove the two screws.
Remove the E-box top cover.
Remove the eight gusset screws.

Intergrate the adjustment plate
Disconnect the three cables.
Remove the diverter valve.
Slot the X-adjusment plate into the right assembly.
Remove the eight diverter valve cover screws.
Fix the X-adjusment plate with an M4 screw in middle of slot.

Assemble the accessory sensors
Attach the sensor grounding to the accessory switch holder,
then install the previous assembly.
Push the cable clamp into place.
Attach the previous assembly into the right side of the printer
structure.
Printer left side sensor: Follow 1 and 2 in the above image to
attach the previous assembly with the accessory switch holder,
then assemble the sensor grounding.
Printer right side sensor: Follow 1 and 2 in the above image to
attach the previous assembly with the accessory switch holder,
then assemble the sensor grounding.
Slot the two sensor safety assemblies into the
spring-grounding microswitches.
Connect the cable.

Assemble the diverter
Connect the three cables.
Tighten the eight diverter valve cover screws.
Attach the other assembly into the left side of the printer
structure., then repeat steps 36, 37 and 38 to connect it.
Push the cable clamp into place, and connect the cable.
Insert the diverter valve.
Important: Ensure that the brackets highlighted in orange are
completely inserted into place in the printzone.
Attach the top E-box cover and x in place with two screws.

Assemble the top stacker
Plug in the sensor connector.
Plug in the cable.
Attach the module and x in place with two M4 x 8 mm screws
(four total) at each side.
Install the structure, making sure that the pin matches on the
front panel side.
Tighten the six M4 x 8mm screws at each side (twelve total).
With the door open, insert the top hooks and install the
module.
Insert the diverter valve cover.
Important: Ensure that the bracket in the middle of the valve
is inserted under the gray metal plate as shown.

Attach the paper output stacker covers, one on each side.
Insert the seventeen plastic parts underneath the output
module.
Plug in the connector cable.
Attach the lateral cover at the front panel side with six screws.
Attach the lateral cover at the other side with three screws.
Install the accessory hooks.
Install the accessory interface
Attach the accessory hooks with three screws.

Activate the accessory kit
Insert the service-key into the USB port. From the service-
menu, activate the pinch output function. Select the following
path: Settings > Service Menu > Accessories Utilities >
Enterprise UPG Kit.
To recalibrate the beam, see the section: Paper-output path
adjustable beam in the Service Manual.
Install the HP PageWide XL 4X00 Accessory Upgrade Kit
licence. Insert the USB dongle into the USB port.
Switch the printer on.
