Important Safety Instructions,
please read carefully!
This unit is meant to indicate the time and to receive FM
radio program. Using it in any another way you risk elec
-
tric shock. This device may not be used differently from
the instructions in this manual.
Never attempt to open the housing of your clock radio or
to service the product beyond that described in this manual.
All servicing or repair must be referred to qualified service
personnel authorised by us.
To avoid the risk of electric shock never use the product
in humid areas or near water - e.g. near a bathtub,
washbowl, kitchen sink, in a wet basement or near a swim-
ming pool, or the like.
This unit is intended for use with the mains voltage of
AC230V~ / 50 Hz. Never try to use it with different voltage
supply.
If objects have fallen inside or liquid has been spilt onto
the product disconnect the plug from the mains immediate-
ly and consult qualified service personnel.
Never let children play with the unit or stick anything into
it. Otherwise they face the risk of electric shock.
Do not place the unit near strong magnetic fields, water
or heat. It should not be exposed to direct sunlight for a
longer period. Avoid positions with heavy dust or poor ven
-
tilation. The unit should not be exposed to mechanical vi
-
brations or shock.
Clock radios have no mains switch. So if you don’t use the
product for a longer period disconnect it from the mains.
After disconnection from the mains you can use a soft damp
cloth to clean the housing. Don’t use strong cleansing
products.

Power supply
You can operate this device with the mains voltage of
AC230V~ / 50 Hz. Connect the mains cord of the unit to a
properly wired wall outlet. Now the device is operational.
Memory backup battery
A 9-volt battery (not included) may be installed as a backup
option to maintain the time if electrical power fails. If that
happens, the time will no longer be displayed or any alarm
carried out. However, the clock will continue to operate and the
actual time will be maintained. All functions will be resumed
once the electrical power is restored. If used, the backup
battery should be replaced every year. Remove the battery if
the clock is not used for a long period of time.
Batteries must not be thrown in the household
waste. Please take used batteries to the
respective collecting points or take them there
where you have bought the new ones. Do not
throw batteries into the fire.
Set the time
After connecting to the mains 0:00 will flash in the display.
Keep the time button pressed and
press the hour button to set the hours of the current time
press the minute button to set the minutes of the current
time.
Now the clock time has been stored.

Radio operation
Ø
Slide the auto off on” - switch to the on position, to
activate the FM radio.
Ø
For FM reception you need to unwind the pigtail antenna on
the rear side of the unit. Turn the antenna to find the best
antenna orientation.
Ø
The control allows to set the desired volume. Turn the
control to the rear to increase the volume. Turn it to the
front to lower the volume.
Ø
Use the tuning control to select the broadcasting stations.
The dial scale will help to orient yourself.
Alarm function
The alarm may be set to wake you up to an alarm
buzzer or radio playback.
1. Keep the alarm button pressed and press the hour resp.
minute button to set the desired alarm time. Now the
alarm time has been stored.
2. If you want the device to wake you up by radio playback
you need to tune in the desired station and to set the
desired volume.
3. If you prefer to wake up by alarm buzzer turn down the
control until it clicks into the buzzer position.
4. Move the auto off on switch to the “auto” position. The
alarm LED is lit in the display now.
5. Press the alarm button to display the alarm time.
6. The snooze function can be used to suspend the alarm for
9 minutes. When the buzzer or radio alarm sounds just
press the SNOOZE button. After 9 minutes the alarm will
be resumed.
7. To end the alarm move the auto off on switch to the
“off” position. The alarm time will be stored.
8. If the device shall wake you up again next day move the
auto off on switch to the “on” position.

Sleep function
Use the sleep function to fall asleep radio playback. The unit
will automatically turn off after a certain amount of time (up to
1 hour 59 minutes).
1. Move the auto off on switch to the “auto” or “off”
position.
2. While keeping the sleep button pressed, repeatedly
press the minute / hour buttons until the desired
remaining play time is displayed.
3. Each time you press the sleep button, the remaining
playing time will be reset to 59 minutes.
4. To end the sleep function early press the SNOOZE
button.
Disposal advice
When the operating life of this device has ended it
must not be disposed as domestic waste, but in
accordance with national environmental guidelines.
