PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE
To Assemble :
Unpack the backrest and attach to the base by sliding it down along the 2 metallic
rails until full engagement of both parts.
Insert both the left and right armrest rods into the apertures situated in the
armrest supports.
Insert the plug on the end of the power lead into the socket on the supplied
transformer.
Connect the power supply cable into the other side of the power transformer.
Check all electrical connections, then plug the power supply cable with the 3 pin
plug into a wall mounted electric socket and switch on.
The power-supply unit voltage is 220V.
Advice for conditions of use :
Do not operate this equipment without having been instructed in its use by the
retailer or the installer.
Do not operate the equipment before read ing and understanding the user’s
manual.
Ensure there is a minimum distance (of 60 cm) behind the back of the chair to
prevent it coming into contact with any object such as a wall when the chair is fully
reclined.
When positioning the chair check it is on a flat horizontal surface in order to ensure
stability on the floor.
Do not position the chair too close to a significant heat source (eg: a fire place)
Plug the power supply lead into a wall mounted electric outlet with a power supply of
220V.
In the case of a thunderstorm, it is recommended not to use the chair.
The rise and recline chair must not be moved when it use.
We recommend you to first operate the chair when it is empty, to get used to it.
The chair should not be operated by children.
The leg rest is not an additional seat & will not support your weight..
Before moving the chair around, unplug the power lead.
Only use the manufacturers original spare parts and accessories distributed by,
Action Assist, to guarantee safe operation and maintain conformity.
Under no circumstance should the chair be modified, as this will invalidate the
warranty.
Misuse of the chair will also cancel the warranty terms.
Try not to expose the product to direct sunlight, as this can result in a partial
discolouration of the cover.

Handset Functions:
The handset can be secured under the armrest cushion, on either side of the chair.
- Thanks to its placement under the armrest cushion, the remote control cannot
Fall to the floor.
- Stop & Start function : automatically stops when in sitting position. Press again on
the same button to proceed to lifting position.
Press to recline
the chair.
Press to sit up then
press again to stand.

Attaching the magazine holder:
- Pull upwards on the armrest then swing the arm to one side.
- Place the magazine holder in the middle of the armrest support so it
doesn’t obstruct the closing of the armrest (see photo below).
Attaching the Tray: accessory.
Adjust the chair to its standing position,
Fit the metal support of the tray into the opening in the lower frame
(see photo below),
Place the tray onto the support.
If required the tray can be moved to the opposite side by,
removing the black plug which covers the opening and insert the
tray’s support.

Precautions Advice:
The use of the chair is not intended for persons of diminished responsibility, in
this instance the help and vigilance of a third party is imperative.
Weight limit :
The chairs maximum user weight is 130 kg.
Removing the quilt covers for washing or replacement.
Backrest quilt cover :
Remove the Velcro strap from the flap of the cover behind the back rest.
Zip down the left and the right side of the quilt.
Seat base/leg rest quilt cover :
Remove the Velcro straps at the bottom, on the right and on the left of the seat base.
Armrest quilt cover :
Lift up the armrest and remove it from the seat.
Remove the Velcro strap located under the armrest.
The Chocolate polyurethane modules can be machine-washed at 30° C.
In its entirety or only the cover (once each of the silicone-hollow-fibre modules have
been removed).
We advise that the modules are placed in a washing net or pillowcase, to preserve
their original form.
Changing the backrest :
It is possible to modify the seat base depth by replacing the backrest with another
one.
Slide the backrest away from its base along the 2 metallic rails.
Assemble the new backrest to the base by sliding it down along the 2 metallic rails
until both parts engage.
