Safety precautions
EN
1. Read these instructions for use carefully before
using your appliance for the fi rst time and keep
them to hand for future reference.
2. Connect the appliance to a mains socket with
an earth connection only. Mains voltage must
be the same as the details on the rating plate.
The use of incorrect connection will negate the
guarantee and may be hazardous.
3. This appliance is designed for indoor domestic
household use only. It is not intended to be used
in following applications, and the guarantee will
not apply for:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offi ces and other
working environments;
- farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential
type environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments.
4. Your appliance is intended for domestic use inside
the home only at an altitude below 3400 m.
5. In case of any inappropriate use or failure to com-
ply with the instructions, the manufacturer accepts
no responsibility and the guarantee may not apply.

machine. They were de-
signed to interact together - the interaction provides
the in-cup quality that NESCAFÉ

known for. Each capsule is designed to prepare a
perfect cup, and cannot be reused.
7. Do not remove hot capsules by hand. Use handles
or knobs.
8. Always use the appliance on a fl at, stable, heat
resistant surface away from sources of heat or
water splashes.
9.
To protect against fi re, electric shock and injury to
persons do not immerse the power cord, plugs or the
appliance in water or other liquid. Never touch the power
cord with wet hands. Do not overfi ll the water tank.
10. In case of an emergency remove the plug from
the pow er socket immediately.
11.
Close supervision is necessary when the appliance
is used near children. Keep the appliance / power
cord / capsule holder out of reach of children. Chil-
dren should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance. Never leave the appliance
without surveillance while making a beverage.
12.
This appliance is not intended for use by children or
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruc-
tion concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety. Persons who have a
limited or no understanding of the operation and use
of this appliance must fi rst read and fully understand
the contents of the user manual, and where appropri-
ate seek additional guidance on its operation and use
from the person responsible for their safety.
13. Do not use the appliance without the drip tray and
drip grid, except when a very tall mug is used. Do
not use the appliance for hot water preparation.
14. For health reasons, always fi ll the water tank
with fresh drinking water.
15. After use of the appliance always remove the
capsule and clean the capsule holder. Empty
and clean the drip tray and capsule bin daily.
Users allergic to dairy products: Rinse the appli-
ance according to the cleaning procedure.
16. Unplug from the mains socket when not in use.
17. Unplug from the mains socket before clean-
ing. Allow to cool before putting on or taking
off parts, before cleaning the appliance. Never
clean wet or immerse appliance in any fl uid.
Never clean the appliance with running water.
Never use detergents to clean the appliance.
Clean the appliance only using soft sponges/
brushes. The water tank should be cleaned with
a baby bottle brush.
18. Never turn the machine upside down.
19. If away for prolonged periods, on holiday, etc.
the appliance must be emptied, cleaned and un-
plugged. Rinse before reuse. Operate the rinse
cycle before re-using your appliance.
20. Do not turn off the appliance during the descaling
process. Rinse the water tank and clean the ap-
pliance to avoid any residual descaling agent.

Any operation, cleaning and care other than nor-
mal use must be undertaken by after-sales service

Do not dismantle the appliance and do
not put anything into the openings.
22.
In case of intensive use without allowing suffi cient
cooling time, the appliance will stop functioning tem-
porarily with the red indicator light blinking. This is to
protect your appliance from overheating. Switch the
appliance off for 20 minutes to let it cool down.
23.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or
plug. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly quali-
fi ed persons in order to avoid a hazard. Do not operate
any appliance that malfunctions or has been damaged in
any manner. Unplug cord immediately. Return the dam-
aged appliance to the nearest authorised service facility
designated by

24. The use of accessory attachments not recom-
mended by the appliance manufacturer may
result in fi re, electric shock or injury to persons.
25. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or
counter, or touch hot surfaces or sharp edges.
Do not allow the cord to dangle (risk of tripping
up). Never touch the cord with wet hands.
26. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric
burner, or in a heated oven.
27. To disconnect, turn the power button OFF, then
remove the plug from the wall socket. Do not
unplug by pulling the cord.
28. Always close the extraction head with the capsule
holder. Do not pull out the capsule holder before
the indicator stops blinking. The appliance will not
work if the capsule holder is not inserted.
29. Scalding may occur if the lever is opened dur-
ing the brewing cycles. Do not pull up the lever
before the lights on the machine stop fl ashing.
30. Do not put fi ngers under the outlet during bever-
age preparation.
31. Do not touch the needle of the extraction head.
32. Never carry the appliance by the extraction head.
33. The capsule holder is equipped with permanent
magnets. Avoid placing the capsule holder near
appliances and objects that can be damaged
by magnetism, e.g. credit cards, usb drives and
other data devices, video tapes, television and
computer monitors with picture tubes, mechanical
clocks, hearing aids and loud speakers.
34. Patients with pacemakers or defi brillators: Do
not hold the capsule holder directly over the
pacemaker or defi brillator.
35. If the power socket does not match the plug on
the appliance, have the plug replaced with a
suitable type by after-sales service centres desig-
nated by NESCAFÉ
®

Hotline.

Packaging is made of recyclable materials. Contact
your local council / authority for further information on
recycling programs. Your appliance contains valuable
materials which can be recovered or recycled.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fi re or elec-
tric shock, do not remove the cover. No user
serviceable parts inside. Repair should be
done by authorised service personnel only!

39. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of
children aged less than 8 years. Children shall
not play with the appliance.
40. This appliance can be used by children aged
from 8 years and above and persons with re-
duced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or

use of the appliance in a safe way and if they
understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and
user maintenance shall not be made by children

3. Este aparato ha sido diseñado para uso domés-
tico. No está diseñado para ser utilizado en los
siguientes ámbitos y por tanto la garantía no
sería válida:
- áreas de cocina para el personal en tiendas,
ofi cinas y otros entornos de trabajo;
- casas rurales;
- por los clientes en hoteles, moteles y otros
entornos de tipo residencial;

. Cada cápsula está diseñada para la pre-
paración de una taza perfecta y no puede reutilizarse.
7. No retire las cápsulas calientes con la mano. Utilice el
soporte porta-cápsulas.
8. Utilice siempre el aparato sobre una superfi cie
plana, estable, resistente al calor y lejos de
fuentes de calor o salpicaduras de agua.
9. Para proteger contra el fuego, las descargas eléctricas
y las lesiones físicas, no sumerja el cable eléctrico, los
enchufes o el aparato dentro de agua u otro líquido.
No toque nunca el cable eléctrico con las manos
mojadas. No llene en exceso el depósito de agua.
10. En caso de emergencia: retire inmediatamente
el enchufe de la toma de corriente.
11. Es necesario estrechar la vigilancia cuando se
utilice el aparato cerca de niños. Mantenga el
aparato / , el cable eléctrico / y el soporte de cápsulas
fuera del alcance de los niños. Los niños deben ser
vigilados para asegurarse de que no jueguen con el
aparato. No deje nunca el aparato sin supervisión
mientras se prepara una bebida.
12. Este aparato no está diseñado para su uso por
parte de personas (incluidos niños) con capacida-
des físicas, sensoriales o mentales disminuidas
o insufi ciente experiencia y conocimientos, a

13. No use el aparato sin bandeja de escurrido ni

una taza muy alta. No utilice la máquina para
la preparación de agua caliente.

depósito de agua con agua potable fresca.
15. Tras el uso del aparato, extraiga siempre la
cápsula y limpie el soporte de la cápsula. Vacíe
y limpie la bandeja de escurrido y el depósito de
cápsulas diariamente. Para usuarios alérgicos a
los productos lácteos: enjuague el cabezal con-
forme al procedimiento de limpieza.
16. Desconecte de la toma de corriente cuando no se
utilice.

Desconecte de la toma de corriente antes de la lim-
pieza. Deje que el aparato se enfríe antes de poner o
quitar piezas y antes de limpiar el aparato. No limpie
nunca en mojado ni sumerja el aparato en ningún
líquido. No limpie nunca el aparato bajo el chorro del
agua. No utilice nunca detergentes para limpiar el
aparato. Limpie el aparato solo con esponjas/cepillos
suaves. El depósito de agua debe limpiarse con un
cepillo de biberón.
18. Si se ausenta durante largos períodos de tiempo,
en vacaciones, etc., debe vaciar, limpiar y desen-
chufar el aparato. Enjuáguelo antes de volver a utili-
zarlo. Realice el ciclo de enjuague antes de volver a
utilizar el aparato.

19. No apague el aparato durante el proceso de
descalcifi cación. Enjuague el depósito de
agua y limpie el aparato para evitar cualquier
residuo del agente de descalcifi cación.
20. Toda operación, limpieza y mantenimiento
diferentes al uso normal deben ser realizados
por los centro de servicio postventa aproba-
dos por la línea de atención de
NESCAFÉ

. No desmonte el aparato ni ponga
nada dentro de sus aberturas.
21. En caso de uso intensivo sin permitir sufi cien-
te tiempo de enfriamiento, el aparato dejará
de funcionar temporalmente y el indicador
luminoso parpadeará en rojo. De este modo
se protege el aparato frente al sobrecalenta-
miento. Apague el aparato durante 20 minutos
y deje que se enfríe.
22. No utilice ningún aparato con un cable o
enchufe dañado. Si el cable de alimentación
está dañado, debe ser reemplazado por el
fabricante, su agente de servicio o por perso-
nal cualifi cado a fi n de evitar un peligro. No
utilice ningún aparato que funcione mal o que
presente cualquier tipo de daño. Desenchufe
el cable inmediatamente. Devuelva el aparato
dañado al centro de servicio autorizado más
cercano aprobado por la línea de atención de
NESCAFÉ
®

23. El uso de accesorios no recomendados por
el fabricante del aparato puede ser causa de
fuego, cortocircuitos o lesiones físicas.
24. No deje que el cable eléctrico sobresalga por
el borde de la mesa o mostrador, ni toque su-
perfi cies calientes o bordes afi lados.
No deje
que el cable cuelgue (riesgo de tropezar). No
toque nunca el cable eléctrico con las manos
mojadas.
25. No coloque el aparato cerca de quemadores
de gas o eléctricos ni en un horno caliente.
26. Para desconectarlo, gire el botón de encendido
a OFF y luego retire el enchufe de la toma de
corriente. No lo desenchufe tirando del cable.
27. Cierre siempre el cabezal de extracción con el
soporte de la cápsula. No extraiga el soporte
de la cápsula antes de que el indicador pare de
parpadear. El aparato no funcionará si el sopor-
te de la cápsula no está insertado.
28. Si la palanca se abre durante los ciclos de
preparación pueden producirse quemaduras.
No levante la palanca antes de que las luces
de la máquina dejen de parpadear.
29. No ponga los dedos debajo de la salida du-
rante la preparación de bebidas.
30. No toque la aguja del cabezal de extracción.
31. No transporte nunca el aparato sujetándolo
por el cabezal de extracción.
32. El soporte de la cápsula está equipado con
imanes permanentes. Evite la colocación del
soporte de la cápsula cerca de aparatos y
objetos que puedan dañarse por efecto del
magnetismo, p. ej. tarjetas de crédito, unida-
des USB y otros dispositivos de datos, cintas
de vídeo, monitores de televisión y ordena-
dor con tubos de imagen, relojes mecánicos,
audífonos y altavoces. Para pacientes con
marcapasos o desfi briladores: no coloque el
soporte de la cápsula directamente sobre el
marcapasos o desfi brilador.
33. Se proporciona un cable de alimentación corto
para reducir los riesgos resultantes de un posi-
ble enredo o tropiezo debido a un cable largo.
Pueden utilizarse cables de extensión largos si
se presta el debido cuidado en su uso.
34. Si la toma de corriente no coincide con el en-
chufe del aparato, encargue la sustitución del
enchufe por un tipo adecuado a los centros
de servicio postventa aprobados por la línea
de atención de
