INSTALLING GA514 THERMOCOUPLE KIT 098514-01
1. Turn gas off to appliance.
2. Remove front panel from heater by removing the screws holding
front panel to the cabinet.
3. Remove thermocouple wire from gas valve base by turning fitting
counter clockwise with a 5/16" wrench (see Figure 1).
4. Locate the pilot assembly and, with a Phillips screwdriver, remove
screw that holds the bracket for the thermocouple and igniter (see
Figure 2).
5. Remove thermocouple and replace with new thermocouple.
6. Replace bracket and tighten screw.
7. Finger tighten thermocouple wire fitting at base of gas valve. With
5/16" wrench, turn fitting 1/4 turn clockwise.
8. Replace front panel on heater.
9. Turn gas on to appliance.

INSTALLING GA183 THERMOCOUPLE KIT 110183-01
1. Turn gas off to appliance.
2. Remove front panel from heater by removing the screws holding
front panel to the cabinet.
3. Remove thermocouple wire from gas valve base by turning fitting
counter clockwise with a 5/16" wrench (see Figure 1).
4. Locate the pilot assembly and remove the clip that holds the ther
-
mocouple in place (see Figure 3). Slide thermocouple down and
remove from bracket.
5. Insert new thermocouple into pilot bracket as high as it will go.
Slide on retaining clip.
6. Finger tighten thermocouple wire fitting at base of gas valve. With
5/16" wrench, turn fitting 1/4 turn clockwise.
7. Replace front panel on heater.
8. Turn gas on to appliance.

1. Cierre el suministro de gas al calentador.
2. Quite el panel anterior del calentador extrayendo los tornillos que
sujetan el panel al gabinete.
3. Retire el cable del termopar de la base de válvula de gas girando
el niple en sentido contrario de las manecillas del reloj con una
llave de 5/16" (consulte la figura 1).
4. Localice el conjunto de piloto y, con un destornillador Phillips,
extraiga el tornillo que sujeta el soporte del termopar y el encen-
dedor (consulte la figura 2).
5. Retire el termopar y reemplácelo con un nuevo termopar.
6. Vuelva a colocar el soporte y apriete el tornillo.
7. Apriete con la mano el niple del cable del termopar en la base de la
válvula de gas. Con una llave de 5/16", gire el niple 1/4 de vuelta
en el sentido de las manecillas del reloj.
8. Vuelva a colocar el panel anterior en el calentador.
9. Abra el suministro de gas al calentador.

1. Cierre el suministro de gas al calentador.
2. Quite el panel anterior del calentador extrayendo los tornillos que
sujetan el panel al gabinete.
3. Retire el cable del termopar de la base de válvula de gas girando
el niple en sentido contrario de las manecillas del reloj con una
llave de 5/16 de pulgada (consulte la figura 1).
4. Localice el conjunto de piloto y retire el clip que sostiene al ter-
mopar en su sitio (consulte la figura 3). Deslice el termopar hacia
abajo y retírelo del soporte.
5. Inserte un nuevo termopar en el soporte del piloto tan alto como
se pueda. Coloque el clip de retención.
6. Apriete con la mano el niple del cable del termopar en la base de la
válvula de gas. Con una llave de 5/16", gire el niple 1/4 de vuelta
en sentido de las manecillas del reloj.
7. Vuelva a colocar el panel anterior en el calentador.
8. Abra el suministro de gas al calentador.
