The senor utilizes TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) technology. It is best described as low‐energy, high‐
frequencyelectromagneticimpulses,generatedbythesensor’scircuitrythatispropagatedalongtheprobeas
itisimmergedintheliquidtobemeasured.Impulseshitthesurfaceofthemediaandpartoftheimpulse
energy is reflected back up the probe to the circuitry. Level Measurementiscalculatedfromthetime
differencebetweentheimpulsessentandtheimpulsesreflected.Thesensoranalyzestheleveloutputasa
continuousmeasurementreadingfromitsanalogoutput.TDR‐SensorsarealsoknownasGuidedRadarsor
GuidedWaveRadars(GWR).
