YoucanconnectaUSBdevicetoyourcomputerbyinsertingitsUSBplug

(TypeA)intotheUSBportonyourcomputer.

ThefirsttimeyouplugaUSBdeviceintoaUSBportonyourcomputer,

Windowsautomaticallyins tallsadriverforthatdevice.Afterthedriveris

installed,youcandisconnectandreconnectthedevicewithoutperforming

anyadditionalsteps.

BeforedisconnectingaUSBstoragedevice,makesureyourcomputerhas

finishedtransferringdatabythatde vice.ClicktheSafelyRemove Hardware

andEjectMediaiconinthenotificationareaoftheWindowsdesktopscreen

toremovethedevicebeforedisconnecting.

Note: Typically,Windowsdetectsanewlyconnecteddeviceafterconnectingit,andthen

installsthedriverautomatically.However,somedevicesmayrequireyoutoinstallthe

driverbeforeconnecting.Checkthedocumentationprovidedbythemanufacturerof

thedevicebeforeconnecting.

Note: IfyourUSBdeviceusesapowercord,connectthedevicetoapowersourcebefore
