SAFETY
Make sure that the heater never comes into
contact with water.
Never position the heater under a power
outlet.
Never turn the heater on if the lead is
damaged or if the heater's casing is
obviously damaged. In order to avoid a
hazard, the power cord must be replaced by
a licensed electrician or service agent.
Do not pull the heater along by the power
cord or place the cord near the hot air outlet.
Always uncoil the power cord completely.
Do not use this heater in the immediate
surroundings of a bath, a shower or a
swimming pool. If the heater is to be used in
a bathroom, ensure that switches and other
controls cannot be touched by a person in
the bath or shower.
Always turn the heater off and unplug from
the power socket when not in use.
To avoid overheating problems the in-built
safety device will interrupt electricity if the
heating elements become too hot.
If this should happen:
Take the plug out of the mains socket.
Let the heater cool down for 10 minutes.
Check that the heater is positioned
correctly.
See that there is no dust or other
obstacles hindering the air flow.
Clean the inlet & outlet grilles if necessary.
The heater is also equipped with a ‘tip-over’
switch, which will turn off power to the heater
elements if it should fall over.

prevent airflow reduction (refer Maintenance
section).
Do not use this heater outdoors, or on wet
surfaces.
The heater outlet is hot when in use. To
avoid burns, keep bare skin away from the
outlets. Leave plenty of room around the
heater (at least 50 cm on top and round the

Connect the heater to a single 230 V, 10A
socket only. Do not plug into double
adaptors or multi-outlet power boards.
