50 Mounting Kit • Installation Guide
This guide contains installation instructions for the Extron ZipClip 50 Mounting Kit that mounts
the Extron 1205 C external power supply. The ZipClip 50 can be mounted under a desk, on the
side of a rack, or on the back of a rack. After mounting the ZipClip 50 to the desired location,
the power supply is easily clipped to the ZipClip 50. A quick release tab allows the power
supply to be quickly removed from the ZipClip 50 without any tools.
Installation and service must be performed by authorized personnel only.
Step 1: Mounting the ZipClip 50
The diagrams below and on the next page illustrate how the ZipClip 50 attaches to an under-
desk mounting surface or to a rack using mounting screws (included).

Step 2: Attaching and Removing the 1205 C Power Supply
The ZipClip 50 features a quick-release tab that allows the mounted power supply to be quickly
removed from the ZipClip 50 without the use of tools.
To attach the power supply into the ZipClip 50:
1. Attach the 1205 C power supply to the ZipClip 50 by inserting the bottom of the power
supply into the ZipClip 50 and pressing it into place.
2. Press the power supply into the ZipClip 50. It snaps into place.

To remove the power supply from the ZipClip 50:
1. Press the quick-release tab (

) on the ZipClip 50.
2. Lift up on the power supply (

Step 3: Securing the ZipClip 50 Using Zip Ties
The mounted 1205 C power supply and loose wiring can be secured to the ZipClip 50 using zip
ties:
1. Insert zip ties along the notches on the side of the power supply and through the zip tie
anchor points on the ZipClip 50.
2. Connect and pull the zip ties until they are secure. Do not over-tighten.
