Caring for the Environment
Responsible disposal of the packaging
The packaging of your appliance has been selected from environmentally friendly materials and
can usually be recycled. Please ensure these are disposed of correctly.
Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young children, please ensure all
packaging materials are out of reach and are safely disposed of. Please ensure they are offered
for recycling rather than throwing these materials away.
Responsible disposal of the appliance
At the end of its working life, do not throw this appliance out with your household rubbish.
Electrical and electronic products contain substances that can have a detrimental effect on the
environment and human health if disposed of inappropriately. Observe any local regulations
regarding the disposal of electrical consumer goods and dispose of it appropriately for recycling.
Contact your local authorities for advice on recycling facilities in your area.

Safety Information and Warnings
Read this manual thoroughly before first use, even if you are familiar with this type of product.
The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury when
correctly adhered to.
Keep the manual in a safe place for future reference, along with the warranty card, purchase
receipt and carton. If applicable, pass these instructions on to the next owner of the appliance.
Always follow basic safety precautions and accident prevention measures when using an
electrical appliance, including the following:
Electrical safety and cord handling
Before turning on, make sure your outlet voltage and circuit frequency correspond to the
voltage stated on the appliance rating label and your outlet socket is earthed.
To protect against fire and electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or the appliance
itself in water or other liquid, or expose the electrical connections to water. Never spill
liquids into the product.
Never operate this product or handle the plug with wet hands or without shoes. Do not
use it outdoors or on wet surfaces.
Do not insert any objects into the appliance.
Check the appliance and cord regularly for visible damage. Do not use it if the cord or
housing is damaged, if it has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors or dropped into
water, or if it appears faulty in any way.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service
agent or an appropriately qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
In case of damage, contact the GVA customer helpline to arrange return or repair of the
damaged product.
Protect the power cord. Do not kink, bend, squash, strain or damage the power cord
Do not wrap it around the appliance. Do not pull or carry the 2-in-1Stick Vacuum by the
cord. Do not use the cord as a handle, close a door on the cord or pull the cord around
sharp edges or corners. Do not run the 2-in-1 Stick Vacuum over the cord. Keep the cord
away from heated surfaces.
WARNING:
Always switch off the appliance and then unplug the vacuum after use and
before emptying or cleaning the dust container.
When disconnecting the vacuum from the power supply, do not pull on the cord. Grasp
the plug and gently pull it out of the power point.
Do not leave the vacuum unattended when plugged in.
Usage conditions and restrictions
This appliance is intended for household use only. It is neither suitable for
commercial/industrial nor for outdoor use.
Only use the vacuum on dry, indoor surfaces, as described in this manual and with the
original accessories supplied by the manufacturer/ distributor. Do not use it for any
purpose other than described in this manual.

Safety Information and Warnings
Improper installation and use may result in the risk of fire, electric shock and/or injury to
persons. We assume no liability for any eventual damages caused by improper use or
faulty handling.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instructions concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
This appliance is not a toy. Supervise young children to ensure they do not play with the
appliance. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
Do not put any objects into openings. Keep all openings free of dust, lint, hair or anything
that may reduce the airflow. Do not use the product with any openings blocked or
restricted airflow.
IMPORTANT
: If the suction opening in the appliance or the hose is blocked, switch off the
appliance and remove the blockage before you start the appliance again.
Before you start vacuuming, make sure to remove large or sharp objects that might
damage the dust filter.
Keep the vacuum away from heat sources (radiator, oven etc.), direct sunlight, moisture
and sharp edges.
Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of the body away from openings and
moving parts. Keep openings away from your face and body. Do not point the appliance
at people or animals when in use.
Do not use the appliance without the dust container and filter in place.
Take extra care when vacuuming on stairs.
Keep your work area well lit.
Do not use the vacuum cleaner to pick up: flammable or combustible fluids (such as fuel
or solvent); burning substances (such ash, cigarettes or hot coals), or use it in the
presence of explosive liquids or vapours; hard or sharp objects such as shards of glass,
nails, coins; harmful or toxic materials (such as chlorine bleach, ammonia, drain cleaner);
any liquids, or vacuum in areas where liquids may be present.
Store your appliance indoors in a cool, dry area.

Operation Instructions
Before first use
Before using this product for the first time, it is important to make a full charge of batteries.
To use the stick vacuum
Remove the appliance from its charging base.
Turn the appliance on using the on/off switch.
The “On” pilot light will light up.
To use the hand held vacuum
Uncouple the handheld vacuum cleaner (Fig.2)
Turn the appliance on using the on/off switch.
To use the nozzle attached to the handheld vacuum cleaner, remove the nozzle (Fig. 3)
When you have finished using it, press the nozzle accessory button to return it to its place.
Turn the appliance off, using the on/off switch.
Replace the appliance on its charging base.
WARNING.
Make sure the stick vacuum is unplugged from the power outlet before assembling
or removing any accessories.

Operation Instructions
CAUTION.
The suction hole opening must be open and free of any obstruction at all times,
otherwise the motor will overheat and could be damaged.
Powering on and off
Push the power switch to turn on the vacuum.
Push the power switch again to turn off the vacuum.
Using the stick vacuum
Insert the extension tube into the handheld vacuum, as described opposite.
You can use the stick vacuum with or without an accessory (crevice tool or floor brush). If
attaching an accessory, attach it to the suction hole opening on to handheld vacuum, as
described on the opposite page.
Press the power switch to turn the vacuum on.
When you have finished vacuuming, press the power switch again to turn the vacuum off.
Using the handheld vacuum
To disconnect the extension tube from the handheld vacuum, firmly grip the tube and pull
it out of the handheld vacuum.
You can use the handheld vacuum with or without an accessory (crevice tool or floor
brush). If attaching an accessory, attach it to the suction hole opening, as described on
the opposite page.
Press the power switch to turn the vacuum on.
When you have finished using the handheld vacuum, press the power switch again to turn
the vacuum off.

Care and Maintenance
Important.
Before removing the dust container, make sure the stick vacuum is switched off and
unplugged from the wall socket.
Cleaning the vacuum
Disconnect the charger from the mains power and let it cool before undertaking any
cleaning task.
Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of washing-up liquid and then
dry.
Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or abrasive
products, for cleaning the appliance.
Do not submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid, or place it under a running
tap.
Emptying the dust box
Empty the vacuum deposit when dust is visible though the transparent walls, when it is
full, or when the vacuum cleaner does not work to its full potential.
Uncouple the handheld vacuum cleaner. (Fig.2 )
Press the deposit opening control. (Fig.4 )

Care and Maintenance
Remove the cloth filter and its protector. (Fig.5 )
Empty the contents into a suitable rubbish container.
Check the condition of the filters before replacing them.
Changing the filters
Deposit filter machine-washable, but we recommend changing annually.
Uncouple the handheld vacuum cleaner (Fig.2 ).
Press the deposit opening control (Fig.4 ).
Remove the cloth filter and its protector (Fig.5 ).
To reassemble the filter, proceed with the above instructions, in reverse order.
Supplies
Supplies can be acquired from distributors and authorised establishments (such as filters,
etc.) for your appliance.
Always use original supplies, designed specifically for your appliance model.

Anomalies and Repair
If problems arise with your appliance, contact GVA customer care.
Do not try to dismantle or repair without assistance, as this may be dangerous.
If the connection to the mains has been damaged, it must be replaced, contact an
authorised technical support service.
