1. Handle
2. Float lock
3. Float switch
4. Intake cage
5. Hose fitting
WARNING
NOT for use with petrol, greases, salt water or other
corrosive liquids.
Do NOT use in freezing conditions.
Do NOT submerge into liquid hotter than 35°C
Do NOT operate dry.
Ensure the work area is clear before use. Keep away
from children.
To avoid the risk of damage to the cable or to the
waterproof seal, do NOT pull on the power cord when disconnecting the pump.
Never carry the pump by the cable.
This pump is not a toy. Do NOT allow children to play with the pump.
The pump must be supplied through a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating
current not exceeding 30mA
Ensure that the voltage supply matches the voltage indicated on the pump (230V~50Hz)
Do NOT use if the power cord or the waterproof seal around the power cord is damaged.
For domestic use only.
The pump is not designed for continuous use. Allow at least a 10 minute break for after each hour of
use.
Always submerge the pump before starting the pump.
Clear water use only. Do NOT use in dirty water.
Ensure there are no foreign bodies in the water of a greater size than 5mm diameter. Larger foreign
bodies will block the pipes and cause damage to the pump.
To prevent the pump from running empty, keep upright and ensure that the float switch is not
obstructed or in a position where it can become jammed in mud.
Do NOT use if there are people in the water.
Do NOT use for drinking water. Risk of contamination from lubricants.
Always unplug after use and before cleaning.
HOW TO CONNECT THE HOSE
The pump is fitted with a connector that is tapered and can be cut so as to fit 3 different sizes of hose:
1. Hoses of 13mm/15mm/19mm diameter:
Cut the top section of the connector off at position A.
Screw a 25.4mm tap adaptor onto the end of the connector. Connect appropriate size hose
quick connector onto the tap adaptor, insert the hose and tighten.
2. Hoses of 25mm diameter:
No cutting required.
Attach 25mm diameter hose onto the connector and secure using a hose clamp.
3. Hoses of 32mm diameter:
Cut off the top 2 sections of the connector at position B.
Attach 32mm diameter hose onto the connector and secure with a hose clamp.

HOW TO USE
The pump is designed for domestic use only, to be used in sumps or places where there is a risk of
flooding.
Before use, check for a suitable and safe place to release the displaced water. Please check local
authority regulations. Do not pump water onto a road or pavement.
Ensure there is sufficient space around the float switch.
The float switch automatically starts the pump when the water level exceeds the cut-in height and
begins to pump water out. Once the water level falls below the cut-in height, the float switch will
turn the pump off.
Stand the pump on a flat, firm surface or lower using a rope attached to the handle.
Plug power cord into mains socket.
Push the float switch cable into the float switch lock, ensuring the length of cable is not too long or
too short to allow the float switch to turn on and off properly.
A shorter length of cable will mean a lower cut-in height and a higher cut-out height.
The cable length between the float switch lock and float switch must be at least 10cm at all times.
BEFORE FIRST USE/TROUBLESHOOTING
Check the pump and power cord for any damage.
Check operation in a barrel or other suitable vessel filled with water. Immerse the pump into water
and then lift slightly and put down the float switch. The pump should start and stop.
The float switch should not touch the bottom before the pump cuts off, otherwise there will be a risk
of running empty.
