Caution: Pay close attention to the safety information on the last page!
Installation
The gun body has a through-hole Ø 12 mm for mounting.
A quick-connect air coupler (94) requiring a pneumatic hose Ø 8/6 mm is attached.
3/2-way valve is recommended. Normally closed when de-energized.
Dead closed by electromagnetic manipulation
Opening time at least 0.5 seconds
Delay time at least 1.5 second
The valve should be located as near to the spray gun as possible.
The compound connection (15) requires a hose with an inside diameter of 12 mm.
Start-up
The spray gun timers are to be set accordingly per process requirements. Gun
opening (firing side of cycle) at 0.5 seconds and delay to be no less than 1.5
seconds.
Install the necessary nozzle into the spray head (44) for required spray coverage.
Open the stop-cock (13) for de-aeration, put a screwdriver into the gap between
nozzle nut and spray head; pry the nozzle nut forward until compound discharges in
a continuous flow without interruptions of air.
Manually fire the gun by using the manual switch on pneumatic solenoid.
DO NOT FIRE THE GUN AT ANYTHING OTHER THEN THE MEDIA OR THE PART TO
BE FINISHED. HIGH PRESSURE DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY IF
POINTED AND FIRED AT A PERSON.

Adjust the compound volume with knurled knob (26) by turning clockwise for less
volume and counterclockwise for increase volume.
Tips for Troubleshooting
Air in the Spray gun
De-aerate the gun (see start-up) until compound flows without
interruption of air
Compound does not discharge from gun
Tip is blocked, remove tip and clean or replace it
Check valve (17) for blockage
o Examine function of check valve:
Fill gun body with compound
Lock stop-cock (13)
Actuate pneumatic valve
o If compound emerges, check valve (17) is broken, clean or replace
Check air pressure, does it meet required minimum
o Increase to minimum required pressure (72 psi 5 bar) or greater
Pneumatic piston assembly does not retract
o Pneumatic cylinder (35) is dirty, open and clean
Compound connection clogs
o De-aeration (see "start-up"), if no compound flows, check the hose
connection for blockage and clean as required
Compound pressure to low
o De-aeration (see “start-up”), if little or no compound discharges,
increase line pressure by adjusting pump or pressure pot settings
OW-Head Failure
o If the OW head cannot be de-aerated, replace the head

OW-Head leaks
o Leaks from nozzle
o Compound emerges from the bleed bores on OW-Head
Replace OW-Head
Compound leaks from bleed holes in main body (28)
o Replacement of plunger (36) and cup seal (9) are required
(replacement of compression spring (37) should also be done at this
time)
When dismounting and cleaning the spray gun, it is necessary to use the
drawing with parts list.
Safety
The following safety recommendations should be followed when doing any work
on the spray gun:
Never point the spray gun at other personnel
Before any repair or maintenance work may be carried out, spray gun must
be disconnected from compressed air and pressure must be released
Always wear protective glasses
Close compound supply stopcock
Before start-up and after each repair or maintenance work, all nuts, bolts and
connections should be reviewed to confirm that all are tight and properly
installed
Pay attention to the warnings and advices of the compound, buff and
equipment manufacturer
Do not use aggressive cleaners or boiling water to clean gun or parts.
Nozzles can be cleaned with compressed air or warm water and compressed
air. Exterior of gun can be cleaned with a damp cloth or fiber brush.
Changes in the interest of improvements and technical progress are reserved.

Maintenance
When disassembling the gun for maintenance, it is important to keep all parts that are to
be reused clean. During the reassembly on the cup seal, plunger and compression
spring, it is important to use grease during this process. A light oil should be used to
coat the cylinder wall (35) and flat seal (20).
