“Canon” (No1) automatically each time you
switch it on.
2. Select a song in the Song List by entering
its 2-digit number on the keypad.You can
also press the
[+] or [–] button to select
the next song up or down in the list.
3. Press the [START/STOP] button to play
the song.
• A “score” displays the notes played
(center of the display).
• A “keyboard” shows you the fingering
and the keys pressed (bottom of the
display).
• Whole note, half note, quarter note,
etc. symbols appear next to the song
number to show how many beats there
are in each bar.
• The chord name is indicated in the top
left corner of the display.
4. Press [TEMPO+] or [TEMPO-] repeatedly
to modify the tempo value. The current
tempo value appears on the display.
5. Repeat Step 2 to choose a different song.
Press the [START/STOP] button to stop the
song.
Demo button
Press the [DEMO] button to play the
demonstration songs one after the other (in
order, from the starting point you chose).
Press the [DEMO] button again to stop the
playback.
Selecting/playing a preset voice
Your keyboard can reproduce the sounds of
50 different musical instruments. The name
and 2-digit number of each preset voice is
indicated in the Voice list on the keyboard
front panel.
Note: The keyboard has a polyphony of a
maximum of 8 notes. This means you can
play up to 8 notes simultaneously with most
of the keyboard’s preset voices.
1. Press the
[VOICE] button. VOICE and the
currently selected voice number are
displayed.
Note: Each time you switch the keyboard
on, the Grand Piano (No 01) voice is loaded
automatically.
2. To choose a different voice, select a preset
voice from the VOICE list and enter its
2-digit number on the keypad. When you
press the keys, the corresponding ciphers
appear on the display. For example, in
order to select VIBRAPHONE (06), press
“0”, then “6” and the voice “06” appears on
the display.
You can also use the [+] or [–] button to
select the voice immediately above or
below in the list.
3. Play the keyboard and you will hear the
voice you have selected.
4. To choose a different voice, repeat steps
1 and 2.
Selecting/playing a preset style
Your keyboard offers 30 preset styles
from which to choose to serve as a strong
rhythmic basis for your own performance.
The name and 2-digit number of each style is
listed on the keyboard front panel.
1. Press the [STYLE] button. STYLE and
the current style number appear on the
display.
Note: Each time you switch the keyboard
on, the style DISCO 1 (No 01) is loaded
automatically.
2. To select a different style, choose a style
from the STYLE list and type its number
on the keypad. You can also press the [+]
or [–] button repeatedly to select previous
or following styles. For example, select
03 to load DANCE (No 03) by pressing “0”,
then “3”. The style 03 is then selected.
3. Press the [START/STOP] button to start
playing the selected style.
4. Press the [TEMPO-] or [TEMPO+] button
repeatedly to modify the tempo value. The
current tempo value is indicated on the
display.
5. To select a different style, repeat steps 1
and 2.
