American Hearth Boulevard Direct-Vent Linear 36 Gas Conversion NAT to LP allows you to convert your existing gas fireplace from natural gas to propane gas. The conversion kit includes all the necessary parts and instructions to complete the conversion. The 1.65 mm orifice included in the kit will provide a gas input of 28,000 BTU per hour when using propane gas. The conversion kit also includes a new gas valve and orifice for the pilot burner. Once the conversion is complete, your fireplace will be able to use propane gas.

1. Turn off unit with remote. Main burner and pilot should go off.

1. Ifthereplaceisinstalled,turnOFFthegasand
electricsupplytothereplacebeforemakingagas
conversion.
2. LocatetheFireplaceInstallationInstructionsfor
referenceashowtoremovetheBarrierscreenfront
andGlassDoorassembly.Removethesetwoitems
and set aside.
3. RemoveallinteriordecorativeelementssuchasLogs,
Rocks,and/orglassmediaifpresent.
4. Ifthereplaceisinstalledwithnooutsideaccessto
theouterservicepanel,thenallconversionstepswill
needtobeperformedfrominsidethereplace.
5.
Ifthereisaccesstothevalvethroughtheouter
servicepanel,thenchangingofthesteppermotorwill
bemucheasier.
6. Ifnoouteraccessisavailable,thenfollowthe
remainingstepsforconvertingthegastype.

Theinputofthereplacemustbecheckedasfollows:
1. Turnoffallothergasappliances.Clockthegasmeter
anddeterminethenumberofsecondsrequiredto
consumeonecubicfootofgas.
2. 3600÷time(inseconds)=cu.Ft.perhour.
3. Thencu.Ft.perhourxheatingvalueofgas=input
rate(Btuh).Oninstallationwithoutgasmeters,check
manifold for proper pressure.
Ifreplaceisnotinstalledorwarrantycardhasnotbeen
returnedtoEmpireComfortSystems,Inc.,checkofftype
ofgasconvertedtooncard.Also,indicateconversionby
adding“Conv.”behindtypeofgas.
