De'Longhi DES02.BK is a coffee machine designed to make espresso and hot drinks. It features a removable 1.1-liter water tank, a steam nozzle for frothing milk, and two filters for one or two cups of coffee. The machine has an on/off button, a coffee button, and a steam button, as well as indicator lights for coffee readiness and steam readiness. It comes with a measuring spoon and coffee tamper. The machine is designed for domestic use only and should not be used outdoors or in environments where the temperature may reach 0°C (32°F) or lower.

We recommend using ltered water as it produces better

coee and reduces limescale. Never use carbonated water

or any other liquid.

 

Never operate the machine without water in the tank. Rell

How to prepare Espresso coee using ground coee

 -



 

 

Use the smaller lter for making one cup of coee (or when

using coee pods) and the larger lter for 2 cups.

 







When buying ground coee make sure it is suitable for

espresso machines.

Never press the coee too rmly as it will block the lter

and the coee will come out very slowly and the crema will

be of a dark color. However, if it is pressed too lightly, the

coee will come out too fast and the crema will be a light

color and the coee will taste watery.

 



 



Put one or two cups underneath 2. If making one cup of

coee, center your cup in the middle.

 

Hint - to prepare more than one cappuccino, rst make all the

coees then at the end prepare the frothed milk for all the cap-

puccinos.

 

5 Wait until the red light glows continuously indicating



It is recommeded to clear the steam tube of water before

beginning to froth milk. To do this, place a jug under the

steam nozzle and slightly open the variable steam knob by

turning anti clockwise until steam is produced.

DO NOT OPEN THE VALVE FULLY.

  





Cold reduced fat or skim milk gives the best results.

          





Never allow the milk to boil as this will spoil the avor of

the coee.

 

Important – Never operate the steam nozzle for

longer than 2 minutes at one time, and always

clean the nozzle after use.
