RD-XX SERIES RETRO DAMPER
INSTALLATION AND WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
RD-XX Series Retro Dampers can be used with most
zone control panels which have the ability to directly
power a 3-wire actuator. Each Retro Damper is rated
at 24Vac, 2VA. The zone control system transformer
must be sized to handle the total VA of all dampers.
In some applications, additional dampers may require
a relay and separate transformer.
INSTALLATION AND WIRING:
1. Each RD-XX Retro Damper is supplied with a self-adhesive template that is applied to the round
section of duct where the damper is to be installed. The template should run parallel to the duct
work.
2. Drill two 1” holes and four 1/8” mounting holes 3. Cut out the area between the holes.

Use the template to drill two 1” holes.
Cut out the area between the two holes.
Drill four 1/8” holes in corners to mount the damper to existing duct work.
