1
Disassembling the Mower
1. Remove the mower from the tractor.
Note: Refer to the
Operator’s Manual
for
instructions.
2. Remove the fasteners that hold the cover onto
the mower and remove the cover (A).

3. Loosen the belt tensioner (A) to loosen the belt.

4. Remove the belt (A), all the pulleys (B), and the
plate (C).

Replacing the Mulching
Door
1. Remove the pin (A) that holds the rods together
and remove the pivot rod (B).

2. Remove the mulching door.
3. Remove the 4 nuts, washers, and bolts (A) that
hold the rubber gasket to the mower.

4. Remove the rubber gasket (A) and the guide (B).

5. File or grind out the metal plate (A) in each of the
2 slots so that they are fully open to make room for
the new mulching door.

6. Insert the new mulching door.
7. Install the rubber gasket and guide with the the
4 nuts, washers, and bolts that you previously
removed.
8. Install the pivot rod.
9. Install the pin to hold the 2 rods together.

Assembling the Mower
1. Install the plate, pulleys, and belt onto the mower.
Important: Position the blades at 90° to each other.

2. Adjust the belt tension.

3. Install the cover onto the mower with the
fasteners that you previously removed.
4. Install the mower onto the tractor.
