Connect the detachable AC cord (included) to the AC socket on the rear of the unit. Insert the AC power cord into a
convenient standard AC wall outlet.
Caution!
- The set must be disconnected from the mains to operate on batteries.
- When the set is connected to the mains, the power source automatically switches to AC.
Battery operation
1. Remove the lid of the battery compartment by sliding it outward in the direction of the arrow.
2. Insert 4 R20/UM1/"D"size batteries into the compartment. Make sure to match their polarities (+/-) to the markings
inside the compartment.
3. Put the lid back in place.
Note:
-The AC cord must be unplugged from both the socket on the unit and the power outlet for the unit to run on the
batteries.

USING THE RADIO
1. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the radio.
2. Use the FM/MW/LW/SW selector to select band.
3. Use the tuning knob to tune to your desired radio station.
4. Adjust the volume level.
5. Adjust tone with TONE knob.
6. Press the ON/OFF button again to turn off the radio.
Note: Use the fine tuning knob for a precise frequency adjustment. This is useful when listening SW.
To enhance radio reception ability:
FM/SW: Extend the telescopic antenna.
MW/LW: Rotate the unit horizontally for optimum reception.
CONNECTING LINE IN SOURCE
your LINE IN source (e .g. mp3 player) to the LINE IN jack on the left side of the unit, the unit will change to LINE
IN function automatically.
