Important safety notes
Read these notes before operating the TV set.
1. Read these notes.
2. Follow these notes.
3. Take notice of all warning information.
4. Operate as per all instructions.
5. Do not use the device near to water.
6. Only use dry cloths to clean the device.
7. Do not block any heat fans and install the device pursuant to the instruction of the
manufacturer.
8. Do not install the device near to heat sources as electric heaters, radiators, ovens
or other radiating devices including loud speakers.
9. Do not damage the safety design of the plug. Contact the electrician to obtain the
proper socket when the plug supplied fails to work.
10. Do not step on or extrude the power cord, especially that at the outlet of the plug,
connection socket and equipment.
11. Only use accessories designated by the manufacturer.
12. Only use the device with the cart, base, tripod, support or table designated by the
manufacturer or sold with the device. Move cart/device cautiously when a cart is
used to avoid overturning.
13. Use the power type for the power supply indicated on the label.
Consult the distributor or local power company if you are not sure about the power
type used in your home.
14. Unplug the TV set if there is lightning or if it will not be used for a long time.
15. All maintenance work must be conducted by professional maintenance personnel.
When the TV set, the power cord or plug is damaged, liquid or foreign articles
have entered into the TV set or the TV set wet and can not operate normally or has
crashed, it must be repaired.
16. Damages requiring maintenance: Professional maintenance personnel shall carry
out maintenance in case of one of the following circumstances:
A. The power cord or plug is damaged.
B. Foreign articles or liquid enter into the TV set.
C. The TV set has been rained on.
D. The TV set seems to be abnormal or it changes signicantly.
E. The TV set crashes or its casing is damaged.

17. Obliquity/stability- All TV sets must conform to recommended international
standards in terms of casing design obliquity and stability.
· Do not push the TV set in front of the casing or from the top of the casing, which
may make the TV set overturn.
· In addition, do not put electronic devices/toys on the casing, as these articles may
fall from the TV set by accident, resulting in product damage or personal injury.
18. Wall or ceiling mounted: Follow the suggestions of the manufacturer when
mounting the device on the wall or ceiling.
19. Power cords: Outdoor antenna shall be kept far away from the power cord.
20. Outdoor antenna grounding: If outdoor antenna are connected to the receiver, the
antenna system is grounded, which can protect the antenna from surge and
electrostatic accumulation.

Notes for users installing CATV system: Users installing CATV system shall take notice
of NEC Article 820-40, which species the principles for correct grounding. Cable
grounding shall be connected to the grounding system of the building and be as close
to an antenna connection point as possible.
21. Foreign articles and liquid: Do not allow foreign articles or liquid to enter the
casing through the slot hole.

Preparations
1.Connection and preparation of TV set

Base installation
Take the TV set and the base out of the carton and assemble them in the
parts box, as shown in the gure below:
1. Put the front of the TV set down on a soft cloth or pad on the table.
Put the base on stable surface.
2. Insert the base into the slot at the bottom of the TV set.

Put the TV set on a stable surface.
1. Ensure the position for the TV set has good ventilation condition without
blocking the fans on the cover.
2. Ensure four sides of the LCD TV set have a 15cm clearance to ensure proper
ventilation.
3. Do not place the LCD TV set near to the radiator or other power supplies.
4. Keep ames, such as candles, away from the TV set to prevent accidents.
5. Keep it away from high temperatures, direct sunlight, rain or splashes.
Installing the TV set on the wall
The TV set shall conform to the wall-mounted VESA standard. Refer to the
product specications as prescribed in the instructions for details.
To ensure your safety and the safety of the TV set, use the specied wallmounted
bracket. Installation by professional personnel is required for it to be mounted to
the wall.
If you want to hang the TV on the wall, all connection lines must be inserted
to the interface of the TV set.
At least 6cm of clearance between the TV set and the wall must be left to ensure
all interfaces have enough space to be inserted.
Ensure the air can ow freely through the ventilation slot wherever the TV set is
placed or hung.
Do not place the TV set in a conned space.

2. Remote control
Remove the cover of the battery slot and insert the battery into the battery
holder. (AAA1.5V).
3. Power supply connection
Insert one end of the power cord into the Power Input jack at the lower part of the
TV set and the other end to the outlet of the 220V urban power.
Never place the TV set on AC power cord. Otherwise, it may result in a re or
lightning stroke.
The TV set consumes power in standby mode.
Unplug the TV set from the outlet if it will not be used for a long time.
4. Turn on the TV set:
Press the power button at the side of the TV set to turn on the TV set.

Using remote control
Note:Pressing most buttons once will activate the assigned function. Pressing a second time will de-activate it.
When a button enables multiple options, a small list will be shown. Press repeatedly to select the next item
in the list. The list will be removed automatically after three seconds or press OK to remove immediately.

Menu using
1. Press the menu key to display the menu.
2. Select the function option to be adjusted by pressing the Up or Down key.
3. Enter into the submenu or start or adjust the function selected by pressing Right key or OK button.
4. Press EXIT button to exit the menu, and press MENU button to exit the submenu.
5. Press Left key to exit the main menu option.
Signal Source Menu
Press “Signal Source” button to select input signal sources,
including TV, AV-1, AV-2, YPbPr, HDMI and VGA.
Press Menu button to enter into the OSD main menu.
Adjustable items under TV mode include video, audio, feature
and channel.
Adjustable items include video, audio and feature when input
is from AV-1, AV-2, YPbPr and HDMI.
Adjustable items under VGA mode include video, audio, feature
and VGA.
Video Setting
1. Preset: Four image setting modes including Personal, Standard,
Vivid, Movie are available.
2. Contrast: Make dark colors of images more variable and light
colors brighter.
3. Brightness: Adjust the background brightness of the image,
which is used with contrast generally, with the adjustment range
from 0 to 100.
4. Color: The adjustment range is from 0 to 100. Image color and
color density can be changed by adjusting the option. (The
option is not available under VGA mode).
5. Sharpness: The adjustment range is from 0 to 100. Image
denition and sharpness can be changed by adjusting the
option. (The option is not available under VGA mode).
6. Noise reduction: Four options including Off, Low, Normal and
High are available. Users may make a judgment according to
actual image. High option is recommended in case of severe
noise dots on the image and Off option is recommended in case
of slight noise dots. (The option is not available under VGA
mode).
7. Color temp: Three color temperature options including Normal,
Warm and Cold are available under non-computer modes. One
more option User is available under VGA mode to adjust Red,
Green and Blue.
8. Size: Two size options including 4:3,16:9 are available.

Audio Setting
1. Preset:Speech,Standard,Personal and Music voice modes are
available, of which it is impossible to adjust bass and treble for
Speech, Standard and music voice modes whereas it is possible
to adjust bass, treble and balancer to set voice output effect
according to individual preference under the Personal mode.
2. Bass and Treble: the adjustment range is from -10 to 10.
3. Balance: Adjustment range is from -10 to 10. When adjusted
form 0 to 10 for the left channel, the sound of the left channel
decreases gradually to zero; when adjusted form 0 to 10 for
the right channel, the sound of the right channel decreases
gradually to zero.
4. Virtual surround: Press this to turn off/turn on the Virtual
surround.
Feature Setting
1. Menu language: Set the menu language. Defaulted as English.
2. Menu timeout: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60s are available.
3. Sleep timer: Set the time interval for the TV set to enter into
standby state (the function is not available under VGA mode).
The TV set begins timing when sleep timing setting is completed.
4. Super contrast: Enhanced television image contrast
5. DCR: Contrast enhancing television dynamic image makes
image more hierarchical.
6. Root Source:Set the power on signal source of the TV set.
7. Reset all: Restore adjustment items to the factory default
settings.
TV Setting(the following menu only display in TV mode)
1. Auto search: Used for auto channel search and TV program saving.
Press Menu/Quit key to quit.
2. Update search: Save the program already saved and start channel
search once again. Press Menu key to quit.
3. Manual search: Press Left/Right button to enter into submenu,
as shown below:

(1) Channel No.: Display current TV Channel No.
(2) Program name: Current TV channel name is editable.
(3) Frequency: Display current TV channel frequency.
(4) Color system: Display the color system of the current
TV signal.
(5) Sound system: Display the voice system of the current
TV signal.
(6) AFC: AFC may be set as On/Off. When it is ON, the
television will detect television signals automatically and
adjust the channel to the correct position in case of signal
deviation within a certain frequency range.
4. Program list: Press the right button to enter the submenu,
as shown in the gure below:
The p rogram list can be edited as per the indications at the
bottom of the menu.
VGA Setting(the following menu only display in VGA mode)
1. Auto adjust: Adjust the computer image to the optimum
positio n.
2. H.Position: Adjustment range -50~50, adjust the horizontal
position of the image.
3. V.Position: Adjustment range -50~50, adjust the vertical
position of the image.
4. Clock and Phase: Adjustment range -50~50, adjust the
image display effect.

TROUBLE-SHOOTING
Carry out simple inspections for trouble-shooting. These tips may save you
time and money. Expenses incurred for installation of receiver and customer
control adjustments are not covered by warranty.
Symptoms Items to be inspected and measures to be taken
Ghost phenomena
* This may be caused by things blocking the antenna
such as high buildings and/or hills.
Use an adjustable high antenna, which may
improve image quality.
Power failure
* Check whether the power cord of the TV set is
plugged into the outlet.
* Unplug the TV set, wait for 60 seconds and plug
the TV set in main outlet again and turn on the TV
set once again.
No image
* Check the antenna connection at the back of the
TV set to see whether it is connected to the TV set
correctly.
* There may be some problem with the broadcasting
station. Try other channels.
* Adjust contrast and brightness settings.
Normal image but no
sound
* Turn up the volume
* Check whether the TV is set as mute, press the
corresponding button on the Remote control.
Normal sound but poor
color
* Adjust contrast, color and brightness settings.
Poor image quality
* When an S-VHS camera or camera connection is
enabled or it is connected to other peripheral units,
the image quality will be poorer. Turn off other
peripheral units for the moment.
Snowakes and noise * Check the antenna connection
Horizontal dotted line
* This may be caused by electronic interference
such as a hair dryer or nearby uorescent tube.
* Turn off the device.
Remote control fails
* Check whether the batteries are normal.
Replace them when necessary.
* Clean the lens of Remote control receiver on the
TV set.
* You may still use the front button on the TV set.

Glossary
Audio/video input
Used for audio and video signal input. It is specially designed to be used with
DVD or set top box (or other accessories) to connect related signal sources.
YPbPr input
Allow TV to connect directly to high resolution video sources, such as color
difference input of DVD player and digital television. Provide better image
resolution and denition.
Menu
Function control list displayed on the TV screen is used for adjustment.
RF
As RF or modulation signal designed for carrier used in TV and radio
Sleep timer
The TV can be set to be turned off after a xed amount of time through this
