This chime requires 3 “D” alkaline batteries (not included). In typical use, alkaline batteries
willlastuptothreeyears.

1. Install alkaline type A23 12 volt push button battery
(included). Remove back of case by pushing in tab on bot-
tomwithasmallscrewdriver(seeFigure1).Seediagram
insidepushbuttonforcorrectbatteryorientation.Note: If
batteriesarepreinstalled,removeorangebatterytab.
2. Remove chime cover. See page 2 to determine cover
mountingtype.
3. Install 3 alkaline “D” batteries.Pressdownonimprinted
arrowsandslidebatterycovertoremove(seeFigure3).
Makesurebatteriesareorientedproperly(seeFigure4).
4. Test range. Temporarily position chime and push button
whereyouwantthemmounted.Presspushbuttontoverify
chimeandpushbuttonworkproperly.Ifchimedoesnot
sound, see Troubleshooting.

5. Adjust volume control. Adjust volume control to desired volume
(seeFigure3).
6. Mount push button. Useeitherscrews or doublesided tape to
mountpushbutton.
• Tomountwithscrews,removebackofcase
bypushingintabonbottomwithasmallscrewdriver(seeFigure
1).Attachbackofcasetodoorjamborwall(seeFigure5).Snap
frontofpushbuttonon.
• Tape Mounting:Whenattachingpushbuttonusingdoublesided
tape,makesurethesurfaceofthedoorjamborwallisclean.
7. Determine cover mounting type.Thecoversuppliedwiththechimebasewilleithersnap
ontothebaseorhangfromacoverpin.
• Snap-On Cover:Applypressuretothecoveruntilitsnapsintoplace(seeFigure6).To
remove,rmlygraspcoverandpull.
• Hanging Cover:Beforemountingchimebasetowall,slidethecoverpinthatwillbeon
topofthemountedbaseoutofthebase.Turnitoversothepinisprotrudingabovethe
base.Slidethecoverpinintobase(seeFigure7).Hangcoveroncoverpin.
Note:Coverpinsarelocatedontwosidesofthechimebaseforusewithhangingcovers.When
chime base is mounted according to mounting orientation marking, use the cover pin located
onthetopofthechimebaseforhangingthecover.

tion.
• Placechimeagainstwallandverifythe
chimeislevel.Note: See chime base for

• Drill7/32"diameterpilotholesforwall
anchors(provided)andinsertanchors.

TROUBLESHOOTING
A. Chime does not sound:
• Makesurepushbuttonandchimecodesarethesame(seeFigure10).
• Checkorientationofpushbuttonandchimebatteries.(Seediagraminsidepushbutton
andchimeforcorrectbatteryorientation.)
• Checkchargeofpushbuttonandchimebatteries,replaceifnecessary.
 Chime is receiving interference from
anotherwirelessdevice;changethecodesetting(seeCode Settingbelow).
 
• Donotmountchimeorpushbuttononmetalornearmetalstuds.Thisreducesthe
transmitterrange.Use1/4"to1/2"(6to13mm)woodshimstomovechimeorpush
buttonoffmetalsurface.
• Concreteoorsmayreducerange.Movechimeawayfromoor.
• Trylocatingchimeclosertopushbutton.
D. Code Setting:
It is recommended to only change one code position at a time and then check to see if system
isfunctioningproperly.
1. Openthecasesandlocatethejumpersonboththepushbuttonandchime(seeFigure
10).
2. Thepushbuttonandchimebothhaveeightdifferentjumperlocations.Jumperpositions1
through7areusedforsettingthecode.

• Addajumpertothesamelocationonboththepushbuttonandthechimeor...

jumperonthechimetomatchthenewlocationinthepushbutton.
Example: Move jumper at location “5” to location “4” on both the push button and the
chime.
