Welcome to Sytech! Thank you for purchasing the SY-PN6 BBQ Grill. Please read
the instruction manual carefully and pay attention to the precautions shown below.
Keep this instruction manual in a safe place for future reference
Safety Instructions
These symbols warn of hot surfaces.
•
This appliance may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capacities, or persons with a lack of experience in operating the
appliance, provided that they act under supervision or have received
instructions on the operation of the appliance and understand the possible
risks.
•
Children should not perform cleaning or maintenance operations on the
appliance unless they are over 8 years old and are under adult supervision.
•
Keep the appliance and mains cable out of the reach of children under the age
of 8.
•
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handles.
•
To protect against the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the mains cable of
the unit, the plug or the appliance itself in water or any other liquid.
•
Supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children.
•
Unplug the unit from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow the
unit to cool down before placing or removing parts and before cleaning the
appliance.
•
Do not operate any appliance if you notice any damage or if it has not been
working properly. In order to avoid the risk of electric shock, never attempt to
repair the BBQ grill yourself. Take it to the brand's technical service for
inspection and repair. Improper assembly may result in a risk of electric shock.
•
The use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer may cause
fire, electric shock or risk of injury to persons.
•
Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.
•
Do not let the mains cable hang over the edge of the table or countertop, or
touch hot surfaces.
•
Do not place it on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a hot oven.
•
Unplug the unit when you have finished using it.
•
Be very careful when moving an appliance while it is still hot.
•
Before connecting the appliance to the mains, check that the voltage indicated
on the rating plate matches the mains voltage.
•
Connect the appliance to an outlet with a ground connection and supporting at
least 10 amps.
•
Never use the mains cable to lift, transport or unplug the appliance.
•
Do not wind the mains cable around the appliance.
•
Do not let the mains cable come into contact with the hot surfaces of the
appliance.
•
Do not let the mains cable become trapped or kinked.
•
Do not touch the plug with wet hands.
•
Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of
damage, or if there is leakage.
•
This appliance is not suitable for outdoor use.
•
Place the appliance on a horizontal, flat, stable surface that is suitable to
withstand high temperatures, away from other sources of heat and possible
splashing of water.
•
Place the appliance away from combustible materials, such as textiles,
cardboard, paper, etc.
•
Do not touch the metal parts or the body of the appliance when it is in
operation, as this may cause burns.

Before first use
•
Read all instructions carefully and save for future reference.
•
Remove all packing, protective plastics etc.
•
Clean the cooking plates by wiping them with a sponge or cloth moistened with lukewarm
water.
DO NOT immerse the unit in any liquid and do not apply water directly onto the cooking
surfaces.
•
Dry with a cloth or paper towel.
•
For best results, lightly coat the cooking plates with a little cooking oil or aerosol cooking
spray.
Note: When the BBQ grill is heated for the first time, it may emit smoke or a burning
odour. This is normal. This does not affect the safety of your appliance.
How to use
•
Fully unwind the mains cable before plugging it in.
•
Close the BBQ grill and connect it to the outlet
•
Adjust the temperature control of the BBQ grill to the desired setting. At first, try using higher
temperatures to start up the BBQ grill, and then you can adjust it according to your
preference. The on/ready pilot light will light up, indicating that the appliance has started to
preheat.
•
It will take approximately 3 to 5 minutes to reach the cooking temperature, and the ready
light goes off at this point.
•
Open the BBQ grill and place the sandwich, meat or other food on the bottom cooking plate.
•
Close the BBQ grill and the ready pilot light will turn on again.
•
Cook for 3 to 8 minutes until the ready pilot light turns off again, or adjust the time according
to your taste.
•
When using the appliance, the pilot light will automatically switch on and off, thus indicating
the operation of the heating elements to maintain the desired temperature.
•
When the food has been cooked to your liking, remove it from the appliance with the help of
a wooden spatula or other similar heat-resistant utensils. Do not use utensils that could
damage the non-stick coating.
•
Never use metal tongs or a knife, as they can cause damage to the non-stick coating of the
cooking plates.
•
Once cooking is complete, disconnect the plug from the outlet and leave the unit open to
cool down before cleaning or storing it.
•
To minimise the generation of acrylamide during the cooking process, do not allow the food
to acquire dark brown colours.
Using the appliance as a griddle pan (Fig. 1)
•
The top plate/cover is flush with the bottom plate/base. The top and bottom plates align to
create a large cooking surface. With the appliance in this position, locate the hinge release
lever on the right side (Fig. 2).
•
With one hand on the handle, use the other hand to slide the lever toward you. Push the
lever back until the lid is completely flat. The appliance will remain in this position until the
handle and lid are lifted to return to the initial closed position.
•
Use the appliance as an open griddle pan for cooking meats, hamburgers, poultry (cooking
with chicken bones is not recommended, as it does not cook evenly on an open griddle pan),
fish and vegetables.
•
You have the option of cooking different types of food separately without mixing flavours, or
cooking large amounts of the same type of food at once.
Once you have finished using the appliance:
•
Select the minimum position (MIN) by operating the thermostat knob.
•
Disconnect the plug from the outlet and leave the unit open to cool down before cleaning or
storing it.
•
Clean the appliance.
Cleaning and care
•
Always unplug the BBQ grill and allow it to cool down before cleaning it. The unit is easier to
clean when it is a little hot. There is no need to disassemble the BBQ grill for cleaning. Never
immerse the unit in water or place it in the dishwasher.
•
Clean the cooking plates with a soft cleaning cloth to remove food residue. For tougher food
waste, squeeze a little lukewarm water mixed with a little detergent on the food residue and
then wipe it with a non-abrasive plastic scouring pad or place a damp paper towel over the
grill to moisten the food residue.
•
Do not use abrasive products that may scratch or damage the non-stick coating.
•
Do not use metal utensils to remove food, as they may damage the non-stick surface.
•
Clean the outside of the grill toaster with a damp cloth. Do not clean the exterior with any
abrasive liquid, scouring pad or steel wool, as this may damage the non-stick coating of the
BBQ grill plates.
•
Remove and empty the drip tray after each use and wash the tray in warm, soapy water.
Avoid using scouring pads or strong detergents as they may damage the surface.
•
Rinse and dry with a clean, soft cloth and replace.
Storage
•
Always unplug the BBQ grill before storing it.
•
Always make sure the BBQ grill is cool and clean before storing it
•
Gather up the mains cable for easy storage.

finished its use. However, it should be taken to a recycling centre for electrical
appliances and household electronics. This symbol on the appliance, instruction
