WattBox™PowerproductsaredesignedspecicallyforCustomIntegratorstooffermaximumexibility
forinstallation.TheWattBox RPS 12V DC SeriesWB-RPSX-12VDCisapowerdistributiondevice
offeringupto18individual12VoltDCoutputsforrackequipment,eliminatingtheneedforthe“wall-
wart”powersuppliesthateatupvaluablespace.Itcanberack,shelf,orwallmounted,andisonly1U
talltosavespaceintherack.
Note: This product does not offer any line- level surge suppression or noise ltration. Outputs are protected by
auto-resetting PTC fuses that will protect the unit from overloaded connections or short circuits.

4. INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
1. MounttheWB-RPS-12VDC:
A.Installintoarackusingfourrackmountscrews(notsupplied)throughtherackmountholesand
intotherackrails.
B.Forwallmounting,usetheshortrackearsand4screwsratedforthewallmaterial(notincluded)
tosecurethepowersupplyasillustrated.
C.Theunitmayalsobesetonashelfwiththeequipmenttobecontrolled(notpictured).The
includedrubberfeetshouldbeattachedtothebottomoftheunitatall4cornersforshelfplace-
ment.
Voltage Adjustment
2. Plugthepowercordintoastandard,3-wire,grounded120VAC,60Hz.outlet.Verifypoweris
comingtotheunitbyturningaswitchto“On”andvisuallycheckingiftheswitchisilluminatedonthe
frontpanel.Ifthislightdoesnotilluminateandpowerispresent,consultaqualiedelectricianto
examinetheoutlet’swiring.
3. Connectequipment.Runpowerleadwirestothepowersupplylocationfromequipmentand
terminateeachconnection,makingsuretoconnectthepositiveandnegativeleadscorrectly.
4. Onceallconnectionsaremade,theACinputcanbeconnected.Attachtheincludedpowercordclip
totheloopsbythepowercordandclipontothepowercordtosecure.
5. Checktheoperationofallconnectedequipment.Ifdevicesarenotproperlyfunctioning,testthe
voltagedropbetweenthe+and-wirewiththedevicesconnectedandpoweredon.

Important Note: Do Not connect AC power to the WB-RPSx-12VDC until all connections to
the outputs are made. Disconnect power when making any connections to the WB-RPSx-
12VDC.
