Dedicated Amplifier
Sound quality is the first consideration in demonstrating high end headphones, and the DAF-1001A8 offers a dedicated premium
amplifier for each of its headphone outputs.
Customer Music Player Input
Customers buy products more often when they feel a connection to them. Using customer’s music to demo headphones is
elementary, and the DAF-1001A8 headphone amplifier makes it easy. Simply connect a 3.5mm audio cable and the system does
the rest. When a customer connects their MP3 player( or iPod, Smart phone,etc ), the DAF-1001A8 automatically detects music
on the customer input and overrides the house music source.
Push buttons
It supports up to 8 retail-hardened selector push buttons for product selection & switching. These user-friendly & durable buttons
are user-friendly with flashing LED illumination for different status of the demonstration.
Content Authoring
Each demonstration application may require a different content plan, The DAF-1001A8 offers an easy-to-customize set of play
control syntax with flexible & strong content authoring features, customers can program their own content by edit the play control
script just via text pad.

Play Control Script:
Page & MAD:
The play control script is in file with extension .mad. This script describes the interaction on each page while the page
is the user interface of the demonstration.
This MAD file system button simulation works like folders, it supports muti-files in virtual folders 0/1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8.
Note of MAD file [page] name: F1001.MAD means the first file in folder 1. F100FINAL.MAD means the page for the
last file in folder 1, in our example, we define it as a picture (end.jpg) reminding the customer it is the end of this
folder;
All pages will get back to STARTUP when current page timeout(end of video);
Add Fx00x.MAD to join more pages (join more files in virtual folder).
[Page]
ID=F1001
Name=F1001
Mediafile=F1001.AVI ;1.mpg ( it supports avi, mpg,mp3, wma, wav, ogg )
Duration=-1
Value=1
Transition =0
X=0
Y=0
Width =10000
Height =10000
Prev =
Next =STARTUP.MAD
Home =STARTUP.MAD
ControlNum =9
Control & Button:
Our play control syntax simulates the push buttons as the virtual touch spots on each page. That’s to say, there are
up to 8 touch spots on each page(interface). The following example shows the script to each button in terms of
[Control_xx], note the value of coordinates is programmable, like X00 means button X (x=1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8); “;” means
remarks.
[Control_00]
Name=Control_00
Type=Button
Value=1; Means No.2 of the 8 buttons;
X =600 ; Means button 6, 200 for button 2, 300 for button 3, etc, ...
Y=0; fixed for all buttons
Width =100 ; fixed for all buttons
Height =9999 ; fixed for all buttons Action =playpage
Action =playpage
ActionPara0 =A.MAD ;GotoPageA.
In case there are fewer buttons than 8, the scripts for the extra controls (buttons) will be idle as customer can not trigger the extra

buttons , then leaving the scripts there will not cause malfunction.
Duration, Timeout & Value:
Duration=0 ;0 ->for ever loop
;-1 ->end of video
;xxor xxx -> time out, after xx or XXX seconds, it does to next page
Value=1; The value range can be
1\2\3\4\5\6\7\8, 0 and 15 1 means audio output channel No.1, 8 means audio
output channel No.8; “0” means all the channels are disabled, “15” means all the channels are enabled.
PadIn&PadOut:
In case that customer music player is connected, there will be two extra interface/page, we define them PADIN.mad
and PADOUT.mad.
For Audio Device plugged in, an extra MAD named “PADIN.MAD” should be added.
“PADIN.MAD is for the page/interface where no button is pressed;
“PAD00x.MAD” is for the page/interface where No.X of the buttons is pressed;
For Audio Device plugged out, an extra MAD named “PADOUT.MAD” should be added.
“PADOUT.MAD” is just a copy of STARTUP.MAD, it is programmed to go back to STARTUP in firmware.
USB Autocopy:
Create a blank text file named
AUTOCOPY.TXT and copy it into the root of USB drive.
Insert USB drive, all the media files as well as the script .mad files will be copied into the on-board
memory.
*** Please make sure the capacity of internal memory is big enough to accommodate the files needed
to get copied.
The following is the work flow of the unit with four files in each virtual folder.
