DOMESTIC CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS

Your new Singer water pump is designed for long-term use. It must be fitted correctly to continue
without any interruptions. Please follow the below instructions to precisely install the water pump.
1. Pump installation should be done on a concrete foundation in a room that does not get wet
and damp. Also, this room should have the ability for air to enter and exit.
2. The pipe that attaches to the well of the pump should be installed facing downwards
towards the well. This pipe angle should be uniform.
3. A ttach the pipe in the well to a solid support. The "bend" that turns the pipe into the well
should be slightly extended.
Do not attach more than two "bends" to this pipeline from the pump to the well. Do not use
"elbows".
4. “Foot valve” from the bottom of the well must be at least 30 cm (1 ft) above and if PVC
pipes are installed, they should be placed on a support that will not bend when exposed to
sunlight.
5. In the case of a deep well pump, fix the pipes so that the weight of its does not go to the
pump.
6. Do not allow air to leak into the pipes coming from the well to the pump and attach the PVC
pipes well. (The reason is that even though the water does not leak out, the air leaks in. It is
challenging to detect as we do not see air leaking inside. If air leaks anyway, the pump will
not pump water)
7. Install a "valve" close to the pump in the pipe that is attached to the tank from the pump.
Install this pipe above the tank and the drain pipe from the tank about 6 inches above the
bottom of the tank. Further, install a "stop valve" slightly on the pipe. (See the diagram on
page 4)
8. Before starting the pump for the first time, see if the pump rotates easily. Newer pumps may
have a stiffer effect, so do not use them for a while, so fix them in the following order.
A) Remove the "fan" cover with the help of a screwdriver.
(B) Rotate the fan slightly toward the clockwise direction.
(C) If stiffness is felt; it is because the carbon and ceramic parts of the water seal are
hardened or glued.
(D) Install the cover so that the pump can now be activated.
9. Do not activate the pump for any reason, either before installing the water pump or before
filling the pipe with water ("priming"). Doing so will damage the water seal of the pump.

How to prime the pump
10.
Unscrew the black "Prime Plug" on the "Volute Case" of the pump.
Fill the volute casing and the pipe with water from a jug or similar container.
If the pump fills with less than the normal amount of water required to fill the pip in
the well, this means that there is an air blockage in the suction pipe in the well. This is
because the traction pipe was not evenly lowered into the well.
Drain the suction pipe and pump until it is full.
Wait for a while after this whole level is filled with water. If the water level drops, it
means that water is leaking from the foot sand. This leak may also be in the traction
pipe. So correct them.
Then install the prime plug.
11. The voltage drop can be due to several reasons. This may be due to a low voltage in the
power supply to the pumping station or an inadequate supply of power to the pump. Read
the accompanying instruction sheet for selecting the size of the power cord to be supplied.
Note: If the pump stops within a few minutes of starting, it means that the pump has been
stopped by the "thermal overload" cut-out switch for safety. If there are no mounting faults
above, stopping it means that there is a low voltage in the power supply.
12. Now turn on the pump.
13. About 10 seconds after activating the pump, you can observe that water is coming out of
the exhaust pipe. If not, it means that the pump is not primed properly or there is an air
leak in the traction pipes. In such cases, stop activating the pump. Continuing to pump can
damage the water column.
14. If the pump starts and water starts coming out of the exhaust pipe and then the amount of
water coming in gradually decreases, it means that there is an air leak in the exhaust pipe.
Correct the pump before reactivating it.
15. In no case replace the wires inside the terminal.

How to install a deep well kit
16. Do the mounting as shown in the note on page 5 Also pay attention to the following tips.
Close valve No. 6 before operating the pump. Turn on the pump and gradually open
the valve. Open the valve until the reading of the vacuum meter is about 22psi.
If the shell of the vacuum shaft does not move in one place, it means that the pump is
not primed properly. Stop the pump and re-primer according to instruction number 10.
Shortly after the pump is activated and the vacuum meter shell drops slightly from 22
psi, it means that there is an air leak in the suction pipe. Check and correct it.
17. A cross-sectional diagram of a set of deep wells is given on page 5. The jet is a very
important part here. Close valve 6 completely when the pump is running to check if this
part is working properly. Then the shell of the vacuum meter should go up to 0 otherwise it
means that the jet is faulty or dirty. Remove the jet and clean.
18. Singer water pumps are subjected to a complete quality test before being released to the
market. Therefore, if there is a problem with the operation of the pump after installation, pay
attention to the installation of the pump. Otherwise do not think that the pump is faulty and
the pump will come off. Doing so will eliminate your money and liability for the pump.
19. Singer Water Pump is responsible only for manufacturing defects and defects in raw
materials. This liability does not cover damage to the pump due to improperly primed
operation of the pump without water and low and high voltage pump operation. You are
responsible for any damages caused by the operation of the pump as above and contrary to
our instructions.
20. The Singer water pump is designed to operate without lubrication. Therefore, never use oils
or greases.
