Screw the Rod part into the pointer body

How to use this
While pressing the button Infra Red
signal is emitted from the tip of the rod
and the CMOS sensor in the projector
detects the position of it. While the IR is
emitted, the LED Lamp also lights red.
1) Position the tip of pointer on the
screen.
2) Push the button to click the target as a
mouse or push and hold the button to
draw a line as a pen.

How to use this
While the button is pressed or the tip is
pressed to a hard screen Infra Red signal
is emitted from the tip of the pen and the
CMOS sensor in the projector detects the
position of it. While the IR is emitted, the
LED Lamp also lights red.
1) Position the tip of pen on the screen.
2) Push the button to click the target as a
mouse or push and hold the pen to the
hard screen to draw a line as a pen.
CAUTION
Bottom cap with switch function.
Because the tip has a sensor switch inside,
when it is tilted or pushed, it consumes
battery. In order to prevent this happens
while transportation the bottom cap is given
with switch function. By rotating the cap by
90 degree counterclockwise, the above can
be prevented.

1. System Requirements
To ensure the interactive function work properly, please check your
computer to see if it meets the following conditions.
System Requirements
OS Required Microsoft Windows 2000(SP4)/XP(SP2)/Vista
Processor Type Intel Pentium IV or above
RAM 256 MB above
Min. Free disk space 30 MB
CD-ROM Driver & USB 2.0 port available
2. LightPen Software Installation
Step 1: Insert the "Owner's Manual" CD-ROM into the CD drive.
Step 2: Copy the "LightPen Software for Windows" folder in the CD-
ROM and paste it on your PC's hard disk drive.
Step 3: Take out the CD-ROM from the CD drive.
Step 4: Find "LightPen.exe" le in the "LightPen Software for Windows"
folder on your PC's hard disk drive.
Step 5: Create the short-cut icon for the "LightPen.exe", and put it on the
desktop for your ease.
Note: The software can not be executed from CD-ROM, because the
calibration data cannot be stored in the CD-ROM.
Interactive function is provided by "LightPen" software.

(a) Click mouse right key on "LightPen.exe" or the short-cut icon for
"LightPen.exe" and then click mouse left key to select "Properties".

(b) Select "Compatibility" sheet and add check marks to the following.
"Run this program in compatibility mode for:
Windows XP (Service Pack 2)",
"Disable desktop composition".
Then select "Apply".

3. Initial Setup for Interactive Function
3.1 Connect supplied USB cable between XIP2600 and the PC.
3.2 Execute "LightPen" software by double-checking the "LightPen.
exe" or the short-cut icon for the "LightPen.exe". Then the icon for
"LightPen" appears in the task bar and the tool bar appears on the
right side of the screen.
3.3 Select Distance
Step 1: Click mouse right key on "LightPen" in the task bar.
Step 2: Select "Projection Distance".

Step 3: Choose the projection distance from pop-up menu
(>3m,>2m,<2m), and then select "OK".
3.4. Calibration
Step 1: Click mouse right key on "LightPen" in the task bar.
Step 2: Select "Calibration".
Step 3: According to the projector setting condition, select
projection method of "Desktop"or "Ceiling".

3.4 Calibration
Step 4: Push the button on the "Pointer" or "Light Pen" (pending on
the screen size) while placing the tip on the center of green
target. The color of target changes black from green. Then
next green target appears on the upper middle area of the
screen. Repeat the same until all of 13 targets change black.
In order to carry out the calibration smoothly be sure to
expose the tip of the "Pointer" or "Light Pen" to the sensor
near the projection lens. If the tip is lit up by the light from
the projector, the sensor can detect the tip's position well.
Note:
If the screen and XIP2600 stay where they are and if the same PC is
used with the same resolution, Distance setting or Calibration is no
longer required from next time.

Tool bar position
To position tool bar on the right or left side of screen.
Mouse
To change function to Computer Mouse.
Pen
To change function to Pen.
Eraser
To erase drawn line.
Fineness of pen
To select the neness of pen.
Color of pen
To select the color of pen.
Eraser all
To erase drawings on the screen all at once.
Save les
To save the current page into le in computer.
Redraw
To recall the previous drawing (or erasing) you've made.
Virtual keyboard
To open virtual keyboard.

In the Mouse mode(default)
Mouse pointer can be moved by the Pointer or the Pen.
The left click or double click can be done by pushing the button.
The right click can be done as follows.
At rst place the mouse pointer on the target.
Then place the tip of "Pointer" or "Light Pen" on the top or the bottom
edge slightly outside the projected image, then press the button on it.

Note
There is another quick way to change the position of the tool bar or hide/
show it.
Place the tip of "Pointer" or "Light Pen" on the left or right edge slightly
outside the projected image, then press the button on it.
In the Pen mode
A line can be drawn with the Pointer or the Pen. In order to continue
to emit IR light from the tip, press and hold the button on the Pointer
during drawing please. In the case of Pen while the tip is pressed against
the hard screen, it continues to emit IR light.
The thickness and color of the line can be changed.
The drawn image can be saved with the back ground image.

5. How to nish Interactive function
5.1 Select "Mouse" mode by selecting "Mouse" icon in the tool bar.
5.2 Click mouse right key on LightPen Icon in the task bar.

5.3 Click mouse left key to select "Exit".
5.4 Click mouse left key to select "OK" in the conrmation dialog.
(This can be down either on the screen or on the PC.)

1. System Requirements
