28mm Floor Lanterns
B28-ST-147
Please read these instructions fully before starting construction.
PVA or equivalent glue will be required to stick sections together.
Sand paper can be used to gently clean any joints.
A sharp modelling knife will be required to remove sections from the sprue. Please use knives with due care and remember
to cut away from yourself at all times.
During the construction of this model, you may find it convenient to use pegs / elastic bands to hold pieces in place while
you allow glue to dry.
Take the base and feet (shown above) from the sprue.
Glue them together as shown.
Take the four side pieces and their floor & lid.
Glue the sides to the lid, so the long tab is
uppermost (see pic).
Then attach the floor so the tabs extend through it.
Turn it the other way up and glue this assembly to
the base piece.
Take the roof pieces.
Glue them together in a pyamid shape, with the
pin going through their middles. (it will extend out
of the bottom by about 1mm)
Glue the roof to the model.
Repeat the steps to build the second lantern.
The finished models.
Painting
After the models were assembled, we sprayed them with red oxide car undercoat / primer then picked out the
gold trim with model paints.
