Please inspect the appliance after unpacking to ensure
that it is complete and for any transport damage in order
to avoid any dangers. If you are in doubt, do not use it
and contact the After Sales Support helpline. The service
address can be found on the warranty card.

Remove the appliance carefully from its sales packaging.
Remove all packaging elements.
Keep all packaging away from Children. Danger of suffocation.
Clean the appliance and all accessories of packaging dust and remnants
according to the advice given in the chapter "Maintenance, Cleaning and
Care".
12
Operation
Operation
Your dehumidifier operates according to the condensation principle.
A fan inside the device blows air over a chiller, this causes the humidity
contained in the air to condense and drip into the condensate tank 8.
Then the chilled air exits the device.
When you use the device, always ensure that the windows and doors are
closed. Bear in mind that the room temperature may increase during the
use of the device.
Your device is fitted with an interlock and will only work properly if the
condensate tank 8 is inserted correctly.
CAUTION!
Never cover the ventilation slots (on the back and top
of the device) because this could cause the device to
overheat. Ensure there is sufficient clearance to walls or
other objects.
Place the device near a mains power supply.
Ensure that the device is placed on a flat, dry and slip-free surface.
Operation of the device
Before each use of the device, ensure that all ventilation slots, gratings and
filters are free of dirt and that they are not blocked. If required, clean the
device and the accessories according to the “Maintenance, Cleaning and Care
chapter.
Connect the adaptor lead 9 to the appliance and then the adaptor mains plug
to the electrical socket.
To switch on, press the On/Off switch 6.
The green power-on lamp shows that the device is operating.
To switch off the device, press the On/Off switch 6.
13
Operation
Condensate tank
The condensate tank 8 is fitted with a float that switches off the
dehumidifying action of the device when the condensate tank 8 is full.
In this case, the red warning lamp: “condensate tank full” 3 will come
on. To check the water level of the tank during operation, just check the
observation window 1.
When the condensate tank 8 is full, switch off the device and disconnect from
the mains.
To prevent the condensate tank from becoming accidentally dislodged,
once fitted into the housing, it is secured to prevent any possible
movement. When removing the condensate tank, grip the two hand
holds provided and then pull the tank away from the body to release it
from the housing. In this way you reduce the amount of force necessary
to overcome the locking device and then you can remove the condensate
tank in one action.
Hold the condensate tank 8 by the hand holds provided to pull it out of the
device.
Empty the condensate tank 8 and re-insert it in the device.
Now you can switch on the appliance again.
After each use and before accessories are fitted or removed, you must switch off the
device and disconnect it from the mains by pulling the mains plug from the mains
power supply. Allow the device to cool down to room temperature before you clean
it and/or stow it away. Always empty the condensate tank 8 prior to storing the
appliance.
14
Maintenance, Cleaning and Care
Maintenance, Cleaning and Care
CAUTION!
Before cleaning, always disconnect the mains plug and
allow the device to cool down totally before you clean it
and stow it away! Make sure you empty the condensate
tank. Risk of electric shock!
CAUTION!
Ensure that no liquid gets inside the device. Never
submerge the device in water. Risk of electric shock!
CAUTION!
Never use sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or
sharp-edged objects to clean the device.
To clean the outside of the device, use a dry or slightly moist cloth.
Then rub with a soft cloth well until dry.
Cleaning of the ventilation slots
Clean the ventilation slots (air intake and air outlet openings) at regular intervals
with a suitable soft brush to remove dust and dirt.
