Intelligent Platforms
The best way to protect your technology investments,
preserve your system certification and manage your
product lifecycle is our holistic design philosophy.
Our proven design strategy delivers leading-
edge performance throughout the life of
your program. It often allows us to change
processor and memory types and speeds
without changing any of the physical or
electrical characteristics of the board, which
results in truly transparent ‘plug and play’
technology insertion.
Maintaining form, fit and function across
multiple generations of product minimizes
re-qualification following an upgrade. In
addition, our Board Support Packages
provide a stable software interface
between the application and the under-
lying hardware, minimizing revisions to
application software.
Of equal importance, our products are
designed to be rugged right from the
start. As a result, we have perfected the
development of thermal and mechanical
technology coupled with test and qualifica-
tion techniques to bring the best available
COTS technology to the rugged market.

in the industry. We conform to industry standards wherever
possible, and adapt these solutions when required in order to
give our customers as much flexibility and control as possible.
GROUND VEHICLE SYSTEMS
Image Processing and Display
Situational Awareness
This 360º high resolution, real-time, pan-
oramic video from up to sixteen cameras
offers previously unattainable situational
awareness to armored vehicles, aircraft,
remote unmanned platforms and security
and surveillance systems. Some of the key
features are automatic moving target detec-
tion and tagging; single display; real-time
image fusion between visible and infrared
cameras; and scene change detection.
Launcher Control
Pedestal Mounted Stinger System (PMSS)
The PMSS is important to the short-range
air defense capability of the Turkish Armed
Forces. It utilizes 4 or 8 ready-to-fire Stinger
missiles for short-range air defense. Our
contribution is a fully integrated COTS
system. The system architecture enables
coordinated operation with C3I systems
and other air defense assets. The FCS has
a flexible software and hardware infra-
structure to accommodate future mission
requirements that may evolve.
Our image processing subsystem greatly
improves the performance of surveillance
assets and their operators.
The PMSS can be deployed on two different
vehicle platforms: a four wheel drive Land
Rover Defender and an armored/tracked
M113A2 personnel carrier.
System Performance
Improvements
M1A2 Abrams SEP (V2)
The M1A2 Abrams Systems Enhancement
Package (V2) upgrade includes improved
processors, color and high-resolution flat
panel displays, increased memory capac-
ity and an open operating system that will
allow for future technology growth. Other
upgrades include the replacement of ther-
mal imaging techniques with a Forward
Looking InfraRed (FLIR) sighting system.
Our contribution to these added benefits is a
rugged COTS PowerPC
®
processor, graphics
and communications products with the latest
microprocessor and display technologies
and significant performance benefits.
Weapons Fire Control
Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS)
The MLRS deploys up to 12 rockets in
two six-rocket pods. They may be fired
simultaneously or individually, using an
automated self-loading and aiming system.
The computerized Fire Control System (FCS)
integrates the vehicle and rocket launching
operations. Our products form an integral
part of the FCS. The system allows major
video display enhancements, as well as the
use of on-board GPS navigation and ultra-
fast signal processing algorithms.
Without image fusion, an operator would need to scan multiple screens displaying images from different types of sensors or cameras.
The MLRS is the US Army’s combat proven, high-mobility artillery system.
The Abrams Tank upgrades will integrate new
technologies, reduce future obsolescence
issues and take advantage of improved
processing and display capabilities.
Image Fusion
Our Image Fusion technology enhances
tracking and targeting for operators by
combining inputs from two or more sensors
to create a single, superior image. It offers
intelligent, real-time, full-frame, multi-reso-
lution image fusion which aims to maximize
scene detail and contrast in the fused out-
put, producing superior fused image quality
with maximized information content.

Rugged Systems and Modules for
Ground Vehicle Applications
The environmental challenges faced by ground-based defense platforms include extreme hot and cold
temperatures, excessive shock and vibration, and the harshest dust environments. Our systems and
modules are specifically engineered to overcome these challenges and deliver the highest performance
and reliability in the most demanding circumstances. Newer architectures like VPX and XMC are extending
these capabilities and supporting the latest application types.
