Electrical safety

Before use, check that the mains voltage

corresponds to the voltage on the rating

plate.

This appliance is double insulated

in accordance with IEC

60335-2-14; therefore no earth

wire is required.

• Appliance plugs must match the outlet.

Never modify the plug in any way.

• Do not use any adapter plugs with

earthed (Class 1) appliances. Unmodiﬁed

plugs and matching outlets will reduce

Your BLACK+DECKER JE350 juicer has been

designed for extracting juice from fruit and

vegetables.

This appliance is intended for indoor

household use only.

This appliance is not intended to be used in:

• Staﬀ kitchen areas in shops, oﬃces and

other working environments;

• Farm houses;

• By clients in hotels, motels and other

residential type environments;

• Bed and breakfast type environments;

Using your appliance

• Always take care when using the

appliance.

• Do not use the appliance outdoors.

• Do not operate the appliance if your

hands are wet. Do not operate the

appliance if you are barefoot.

• Guide the power supply cord neatly so it

does not hang over the edge of a

worktop and cannot be caught

accidentally or tripped over.

• Never pull the power supply cord to

disconnect the plug from the socket.

Keep the power supply cord away from

heat, oil and sharp edges.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be

replaced by the manufacturer, its service

agent or similarly qualiﬁed persons in

order to avoid a hazard.

• Disconnect the appliance from the power

supply when not in use and before

cleaning.

• Do not ﬁll the appliance above the

maximum level.

• Overﬁlling the appliance could cause a

hazard.

• Overﬁlling the appliance could cause

water to spill.

After use

• Switch oﬀ, remove the plug from the

socket and let the appliance cool down

before leaving it unattended and before

changing, cleaning or inspecting any

parts of the appliance.

• When not in use, the appliance should be

stored in a dry place. Children should not

have access to stored appliances.

Inspection and repairs

• Before use, check the appliance for

damaged or defective parts. Check for

breakage of parts, damage to switches

and any other conditions that may aﬀect

its operation.

• Do not use the appliance if any part is

damaged or defective.

• Have any damaged or defective parts

repaired or replaced by an authorised

repair agent.

• Before use, check the power supply cord

for signs of damage, ageing and wear.

• Do not use the appliance if the power

supply cord or mains plug is damaged or

defective.

• If the power supply cord or mains plug is

damaged or defective it must be repaired

by an authorised repair agent in order to

avoid a hazard. Do not cut the power

supply cord and do not attempt to repair

it yourself.

• Never attempt to remove or replace any

parts other than those speciﬁed in this

manual.

• Allow moving parts to come to a stop

before removing any cover.

• Do not immerse the appliance, cord set or

plug in any liquids.

• Unit must be attended in use.

• Keep loose clothes & long hair away from

the inlet chute & any moving parts.

• Take care when handling the sharp

cutting blades, when emptying the bowl

and during cleaning.

loss of power.

Use

The following settings are available :

O = Power oﬀ

1 = Low speed

2 = High speed

The appliance shoud be

disconnected from the mains supply

before removing the jug.

• Sit the appliance on a stable, level

surface.

• Leave a space of at least 50mm all

around the appliance.

Note: The appliance only functions if all

parts are properly assembled and the lid is

properly locked in place with the clamps.

• Before plugging unit into power source,

make sure the switch is oﬀ and the

securing clamps are safely locked.

• Wash fruits and vegetables well. Cut fruits

into small pieces so they can ﬁt into the

feeding funnel.

• The juice extractor cannot process

bananas, peaches, apricots, mangos,

Papayas, etc. because no juice can be

squeezed from those fruits.

• The juice extractor cannot process

coconut or other hard items because they

may damage the motor and ﬁlter.

• Skins must be removed from citrus fruits,

remove pits from cherries. Prunes, etc.

before feeding them into the funnel.

• The juice extractor is not suitable for

processing succulent fruits or fruits with

low juice viscosity, such as watermelons,

oranges,etc.

• Switch the power ON.

• Insert the prepared fruits into the feeding

funnel and gently push the plunger down.

• When residue or juice cups are full,

switch the power OFF and empty the

containers before continuing to process.

Warning! Grater has sharp blades - always

use pusher, be careful of moving parts. Keep

ﬁngers out of feeder and discharge

openings. Unplug unit before cleaning and

before assembling and removing parts.

Warning! Do not run juicer continuously for

longer than 60 seconds. Turn oﬀ switch and

let it rest for at least 15 minutes to cool down

the motor, and to clean.

Helpful hints and tips

• The best results are obtained when using

young and particularly fresh vegetables

and fruits. In general, the softer the

vegetable and riper the fruit, the thicker

and less clear the juice will be.

• Wash fruits and vegetables and dry them

well, if possible.

• Cut fruits and carrots into strips.

• Roll leafy vegetables into clumps.

Troubleshooting

Cleaning and maintenance

Warning! Before cleaning and maintenance,

switch the appliance oﬀ and remove the

plug from the socket.

Warning! Allow the unit to thoroughly cool

down before attempting to clean it.

• Open the securing clamps, remove the

container cover, upper body and the ﬁlter.

Clean these parts under running water.

• To clean the ﬁlter, a small toothbrush (not

included) is recommended.

Warning! do not immerse motor housing in

water or any other liquid. Motor must always

be kept dry.

• Use a damp cloth to clean the motor

housing.

• Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring

pads to clean the unit.

• Keep the power cord clean and dry,

otherwise it may cause problems.

• Reassemble all parts in proper order and

store the appliance in a dry place.

Problem solution

The appliance does not

work.

The appliance is equipped

with a safety system, it does

not work if the parts have not

been assembled properly,

check whether the parts have

been assembled in the right

way, but switch oﬀ the

appliance before you do so.

The motor unit gives oﬀ

an unpleasant smell the

ﬁrst few times the

appliance is used.

This is not unusual, if the

appliance continues to give

oﬀ this smell after a few times,

check the quantities you are

processing and the processing

time.

Mains plug replacement

If a new mains plug needs to be ﬁtted:

• Safely dispose of the old plug.

• Connect the brown lead to the live

terminal in the new plug.

• Connect the blue lead to the neutral

terminal.

• If the product is class I (earthed),

connect the green/yellow lead to the

earth terminal

Note! If your product is class II double

insulated (only 2 wires in the cord set), no

connection is to be made to the earth

terminal.

Follow the ﬁtting instructions supplied with

good quality plugs.

Any replacement fuse must be of the same

rating as the original fuse supplied with the

product.

Mode d’emploi

Les réglages suivants sont disponibles :

O = Alimentation coupée

L’appareil doit être déconnecté du

secteur avant de retirer la cruche.

• Placez l’appareil sur une surface stable et

plane.

• Laissez un espace d’au moins 50 mm

autour de l’appareil.

Remarque : L’appareil fonctionne

uniquement si les éléments sont

correctement assemblés et si le couvercle

est correctement verrouillé à l’aide des

brides.

• Avant de brancher l’appareil à la source

d’alimentation, assurez-vous que

l’interrupteur est éteint et que les brides

de ﬁxation sont correctement

verrouillées.

• Lavez soigneusement les fruits et les

légumes. Coupez les fruits en morceaux

suﬃsamment petits pour pouvoir passer

dans la goulotte à aliments.

Avertissement ! La râpe dispose de lames

tranchantes – utilisez toujours le poussoir et

faites attention aux pièces mobiles.

N’introduisez pas vos doigts dans la

goulotte et les ouvertures d’évacuation.

Débranchez l’appareil avant le nettoyage, le

montage ou le retrait de pièces.

Avertissement ! Évitez de faire fonctionner

la centrifugeuse en continu pendant plus de

60 secondes. Éteignez l’interrupteur et

laissez l’appareil au repos pendant au moins

15 minutes pour refroidir le moteur avant le

nettoyage.

Conseils et astuces utiles

• Vous obtiendrez de meilleurs résultats en

utilisant des fruits et des légumes jeunes

et particulièrement frais. En général, plus

le légume est tendre et le fruit mûr, plus

le jus est épais et moins clair.

• Lavez les fruits et séchez-les

soigneusement le cas échéant.

• Coupez les fruits et les carottes en

lamelles.

Nettoyage et entretien

Avertissement ! Avant le nettoyage et

l’entretien, éteignez l’appareil et débranchez

la ﬁche du secteur.

Avertissement ! Laissez l’appareil refroidir

complètement avant de commencer le

nettoyage.

• Ouvrez les brides de ﬁxation, retirez le

couvercle du récipient, le corps supérieur

et le ﬁltre. Nettoyez ces pièces sous l’eau

courante.

• Pour le nettoyage du ﬁltre, il est

recommandé d’utiliser une petite brosse

à dents (non incluse).

Avertissement ! Ne plongez pas le boîtier

du moteur dans de l’eau ou tout autre

liquide. Maintenez toujours le moteur sec.

• Utilisez un chiﬀon humide pour nettoyer

le boîtier du moteur.

• N’utilisez pas des nettoyants abrasifs ou

des éponges métalliques pour nettoyer

l’appareil.

• Gardez le cordon d’alimentation propre et

sec pour éviter tout problème.

• Remontez toutes les pièces dans le bon

ordre et rangez l’appareil dans un endroit

sec.

Changement de la ﬁche secteur

En cas de besoin de montage d’une nouvelle

ﬁche :

• Mettez dûment l’ancienne ﬁche au rebut.

• Connectez le ﬁl marron à la borne sous

tension de la nouvelle ﬁche.

• Connectez le ﬁl bleu à la borne neutre.

• Si le produit est de classe I (mis à la

terre), connectez le ﬁl vert/jaune à la

borne de terre.

Remarque ! Si vous disposez d’un produit à

double isolation de classe II (2 ﬁls

uniquement dans le cordon), aucun

raccordement à la borne de terre n’est

nécessaire.

Suivez les consignes d’installation fournies

avec les ﬁches de bonne qualité.

Tout fusible de rechange doit avoir les

mêmes caractéristiques nominales que le

fusible d’origine fourni avec le produit.
