1. Accessory parts
* This part is not used when installing models

Note:
This manual provides the illustrations of the
accessory parts and machine that may be
slightly different in shape from yours. In that
case, instead of the illustrations, use the
appearance of your machine to follow the
installation procedure. This does not cause any
significant change or problem with the proce-
dure.
If none of the later steps instruct you to use the
parts including screw and cover that you
removed following the instructions described in
this manual, discard them.
After installing the Punch Kit PK-519 to the Fin-
isher FS-533, check again that the punch unit is
securely locked into the finisher before install-
ing, removing, or carrying the finisher.

If the punch unit is open, do not carry the front.
2. Installation procedures
Note:
When mounting the punch kit, mount it before
mounting the finisher to the main unit.
(1) Turn OFF the power switch and unplug the
power cord from the power outlet.
(2) Remove protective tape and protective materials
and take out accessory parts.
(3) If the Finisher FS-533 is mounted on the main
unit, remove the finisher.

(4) Attach the three supplied seals to fill the square
holes in the output tray of the main unit as shown
in the illustration.
(5) Place the punch unit upside down, then install
the stopper arm at the position shown in the illus-
tration. (One supplied screw A)
Do not carry the unit while open.

(6) Attach the supplied stopper pin to the paper feed
side of the finisher at the position shown in the
illustration. (One supplied screw A)
(7) Remove the cover shown in the illustration from
the finisher. (Three screws)
(8) Remove the knockout from the cover removed in
step (7) with nippers.
(9) Remove the screw shown in the illustration from
the finisher.
(10) While being careful with harness routing, slide
the plate shown in the illustration in the “ PK”
direction. Insert the tab located at the end of the
plate into the rectangular hole on the frame.
(11) Secure the plate with the screw removed in
step (9).

(12) Remove the lock part from the back of the fin-
isher, then install by sliding in the “ PK” direc-
tion. (One screw)
(13) By pulling the finisher’s lever, extend the front
rail to the maximum.
(14) Remove the lock part from the front rail, then
install by sliding in the “ PK” direction. (One
screw)
(15) Fit the two tabs on the finisher into the rectan-
gular holes on the punch unit.
(16) Secure the punch unit with the supplied screw
B.
(17) Connect the two connectors of the punch unit to
the board of the finisher.
(18) Align the slit of the stopper arm with the pin on
the stopper pin so that the punch unit is
secured to the finisher.

(19) Reattach the cover removed in step (7) to the
Finisher. (Three screws)
Note:
Hook the tab on the plate to the cover.

Attach the supplied front cover.

a) Remove the screw shown in the illustration
from the finisher.
Note:
Discard the removed screw.
b) Install the cover D supplied with the MK-602 at
the position as shown in the illustration. (One
screw F supplied with the MK-602)
(21) Install the finisher to the main unit.

Note:
Before installing the finisher, be sure to check
that the punch unit is securely locked into the
finisher.
Do not install the rail cover supplied with the fin-
isher. (The cover is unnecessary, so discard it.)

(22) Slide the finisher out by pulling its lever.
(23) Attach the supplied rail cover to the finisher.
a) Set the rail cover at the end of the rail.
Note:
Make the finisher’s harness come out from the rail
cover at the position shown in the illustration.
b) Horizontally slide the rail cover.
Note:
Make sure the cover’s protruding part doesn’t
lay over the tube.
Secure the tabs, on the finisher’s side, below
the rail cover.
c) Secure the rail cover with the screw (front side)
and the shoulder screw (rear side).
Note:
Use the shoulder screw and the screw supplied
with the finisher.
(24) Slide the finisher into the main unit.
(25) Affixing the label.
Note:
Perform the following steps only when necessary.
a) Slide the finisher by pulling its lever.
b) By turning the lever of the punch unit, rotate the
punch unit. Affix the label supplied with the Fin-
isher FS-533 to the main unit at the position
shown in the illustration.
c) Return the punch unit, slide the finisher into the
main unit.

3. Configuration procedures
<Punch option setting>
(1) Plug the power cord into the power outlet and
turn ON the power switch.
(2) Display the Service Mode screen. (For details of
how to display the Service Mode screen, see the
service manual.)
(3) Touch “Finisher.”
(4) Touch “Punch option setting.”
(5) Touch “PK-519” and select a desired number of
holes.
(6) Touch “decision.”
(7) Touch “END.”
(8) Touch “Exit” on the Service Mode screen.
(9) Turn OFF and ON the power switch.
Note:
When displayed the Service Mode screen, be sure
to turn off the main power after exiting the Service
Mode screen and wait for 10 seconds or more
before turning on.
4. Adjustment procedures
<Punch hole deviance adjustment>
(1) Make a copy in the punch mode.
(Refer to the User’s Guide CD)
(2) Fold the copy into halves and check for possible
deviation in the punch hole positions.
Specifications: 0 ± 2.0 mm
Note:
If the positional deviation of the punch holes is not
within the accepted range, take the following
steps.
(3) Slide the finisher by pulling its lever.
(4) Remove the C-clip and remove the lever shown
in the illustration from the punch unit.
(5) Remove the cover shown in the illustration from
the punch unit. (One screw)

(6) Loosen the screw shown in the illustration.
(7) Move the punch unit back and forth to adjust its
position, referring to the guide lines.
(8) After the adjustment, tighten the screw loosened
in step (6).
(9) Reattach the covers and other parts removed in
steps (4) and (5) by reversing the removal proce-
dure.
(10) Slide the Finisher into the main unit.
(11) Make a copy and check the punch hole posi-
tions again.
<Punch regist loop size adjustment>
(1) Make a copy in the punch mode.
(Refer to the User’s Guide CD)
(2) Check the tilt of the output paper.
Note:
If it tilts, follow the procedures below for punch
loop adjustment.
(3) Display the Service Mode screen.
(For details of how to display the Service Mode
screen, see the service manual.)
(4) Touch “Finisher.”
(5) Touch “FS-FN adjustment.”
(6) Touch “Punch Regist Loop Size.”
(7) Set the correction value using the /
keys.
To make loop length larger, enter a positive
value.
To make loop length smaller, enter a negative
value.
(8) Touch “END.”
(9) Touch “OK.”
(10) Touch “Exit” on the Service Mode screen.
(11) Make a copy again and check the deviance of
punch hole position.
