As with most electronic devices, your new electric fireplace has been designed to operate at temperatures
between 5°C (41°F) and 35° C (95°F). During the colder winter months, allow the appliance to reach room
temperature before turning it on.
This appliance must be electrically wired and grounded in accordance with local codes or, in the absence of local
codes, with the latest edition of the National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA 70 in the United States or the Canadian
Electrical Code CSA C22.1 in Canada.

are on.

Once the appliance has been plugged into a grounded electrical outlet, it is ready to operate.
The Control Panel is located on the top right-hand corner of the
appliance.

3.3 remote control battery installation
1. To replace the existing battery, remove the
battery holder.
2. To remove the battery holder, turn the remote onto
its front side. Slide the battery holder outwards.
3. Replace the existing battery with a new battery
(type CR 2025). Slide the battery holder back
into position.
4. The battery holder is secure onto the remote
control when a "CLICKING" noise is heard.

4.0 maintenance
4.1 front glass removal and installation
A. Unplug the plug.
B. Remove the 4 screws from the brackets securing the appliance to the media console (Fig. 4-1).
C. Remove the appliance from the media console.
D. Remove the 4 screws from both sides of the appliance (Fig. 4-2).
E. Remove the glass front and place on a soft non-abrasive surface.
F. Reverse these steps to reinstall the glass front.
4.2 log, grate and ember bed assembly removal
A. Unplug the plug.
B. Remove the 4 screws from the brackets securing the appliance to the media console (see Fig. 4-1 in
"front glass removal and installation" section).
C. Remove the appliance from the media console.
D. Remove the 4 screws securing the ember bed to the sides and bottom of the appliance (Fig. 4-3).
E. Lift the log, grate, and ember bed up from the appliance and remove.
F. Reverse these steps to reinstall the log, grate, and ember bed.
