How does the bike combo kit work?
Once paired to your device using the app, the bike combo sensor (A) automatically detects, read and
wirelessly transmits the bike speed (mph, km/h) and cadence (rpm) in real time to your device (F).
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the pedal (B) and wheel magnets (C) are well aligned by passing in front of
their corresponding indicator lines on the combo sensor (A) as the crank and the wheel spin.
To carry your device on the bike, we recommend one of our thin and lightweight modular Smart Cases. See
our website for available models.

How to replace the battery?
1- Use a coin to turn the battery cover ¼ turn counterclockwise to open the battery compartment at the
back of the Combo sensor.
2-
Remove and replace the old battery with a CR2032 type e-cell by inserting as indicated by the polarity
markings (+/-).
3- Put the battery cover back in place by turning ¼ turn clockwise. Make sure the 0-ring is in the correct position.
We advise you to contact an authorized facility to change the battery. By changing the battery yourself, you
risk damaging the 0-ring and compromising the water resistance of the product thereby voiding the
product warranty.

smart bike combo kit turns your smartphone or tablet into a powerful GPS bike computer.
WARNING
- Read all instructions thoroughly before use.
- This product is incompatible with Bluetooth 2.0 enabled devices (or lower) such as iPhone® 3/3S/4 and
iPad® 1st and 2nd generations.
- iPhone, iPad, or other Bluetooth 4.0 enabled smart device is not included in the box.
- This product must be paired to your device using the smartPulse trainer
app.
- The use of GPS positioning in multi-task mode over prolonged periods will cause increased battery
consumption in your device.
If you use the bike combo kit with navigation software, always stay aware of your surroundings and do not
fixate on the screen. Moreover, set user inputs prior to your departure to ensure your attention stays on task
instead of on the device.
Device compatibility
The bike combo kit is compatible with the latest generations of iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and others including:
- iPhone® 4S and 5
- iPad® 3rd generation and iPad® mini
- Other Bluetooth 4.0 enabled smart devices
Software compatibility
The bike Combo kit must be paired to your device using the app

to pair the bike combo kit directly with your device in Bluetooth® Settings.
The bike combo kit may work with other apps but it may connect differently than the iMaze app does.
Please see the other app's website for detailed instructions on installation and use. You must pair and
connect the bike combo kit separately with each app you use. You can’t connect in one app and have it
recognized in others.
Check on our website for the available smartPulse application compatible with your device.

How to install the bike combo kit?
- Insert the 2 zip ties (D) through the guides of the combo sensor (A3).
- Place the combo sensor (A) on the rear chain stay of your bike, near the pedal. The iMaze logo must be
facing up and the tail of the combo sensor (A) must be inside the stay, facing down. Do NOT tighten the
zip ties (D) yet as you need to align the combo sensor (A) with the magnets first.
- Remove the pedal on the same side and slip the pedal magnet (B) onto the crank, with the magnet facing
in towards the combo sensor (A). Align both the combo sensor (A) and pedal magnet (B) in order to allow
the magnet to pass in front of the cadence detector (A1) identified by an indicator line on the top body of
the combo sensor (A). The pedal magnet (B) must pass within 1/8 inch (~4mm) of the combo sensor (A) in
order to record an accurate reading.
- Reinstall the pedal.
- Secure the combo sensor (A) by tightening the 2 zip ties. Cut off the excess portion of the zip ties then
add the rubber band (E) by joining the front hook (A4) to the back hook (A5) of the combo sensor (A).
-
Attach the wheel magnet (C) onto any spoke of the back wheel, facing in towards the combo sensor (A).
Align the wheel magnet (C) so that it can pass in front of the speed detector (A2) identified by an indicator
line on the tail of the combo sensor (A). The wheel magnet (C) must pass within 1/8 inch (~4mm) of the combo
sensor (A) in order to record an accurate reading. Tighten the screw of the wheel magnet (C) once in place.
