damage the electronics.
The thermometer must never be bitten.
The measuring tip must not be bent excessively. Do not bend the tip
more than 45 degrees!
Do not let the thermometer fall.
The thermometer is an electronic device and contains small parts

7 Replacing the battery
If the information in the display has a poor contrast or the battery icon ap-
pears, the battery charge capacity is low: Change the battery.

All indicators appear briefly in the display (self−test).
The last temperature measured is displayed. The M icon (Memory)

"Lo" then appears in the display and the unit of measurement set
flashes on the right−hand side of the display. The thermometer is ready
to use.
3. Place the measuring tip under the tongue (measuring the body tempera-
ture orally).
The person being checked should only breathe through the
nose for the period of the measurement so that the measured
value is not falsified.
CAUTION: Do not bend the flexible tip more than 45 degrees!
The thermometer measures the body temperature (duration: ap-
prox. 1 minute). During the measurement, the current measured value
appears in the display. 4 acoustic signals are issued to indicate the
measurement is completed. The unit of measurement no longer flashes
in the display.
If the temperature measured is below 32 °C, no signal tones
are issued. The unit of measurement continues to flash in the
display.
4. Remove the thermometer carefully. Read the temperature measured in
the display.
If the temperature measured is above 42 °C, "Hi" appears in
the display. At the same time, the acoustic fever alert sounds
4 times in succession (a triad). The unit of measurement lights
up continuously.
5. Switch the thermometer off after taking the temperature to save the batte-
ries: Press the On/Off button.
If the device remains unused for 160 seconds it switches off au-
