supply before cleaning.
Operational Safety. The whole Metcalfe range incorporates safety devices which prevent the
appliance from being used if the machine is not assembled correctly.
Installation

A sturdy, generously sized work surface will always form the best base. Check that the
appliance voltage indicated is the same as the mains supply.
Connect the appliance to the mains.
The appliance is started and stopped by means of the switches on the front panel.
N.B. Safety devices prevent the appliance from starting if the bowl has been removed or is

Assembly
Position the stainless steel bowl on top of the drive unit, making sure that the special slots
engage properly with the three spring-loaded fixing pins located around the top of the drive unit.
Rotate the bowl anti-clockwise until it locks in position.
Fit the blade unit onto the shaft, ensuring that the bottom blade passes just above the bottom of
the bowl. N.B. If this blade sits too low, adjust the blade unit by means of the adjuster screw on
the top.
Place the lid on top of the bowl, making sure that the magnet located in the protrusion of the
cover corresponds with the side metal stud containing the safety magnetic sensor which is
located in the tube coming from the drive unit.
Switch on the power supply and the Metcalfe food processor is ready for use.
Please note: to ensure good results, the blades must always be very sharp. All Metcalfe food
