Camera Viewing setup tips
1.For ice fishing application, this vertical-viewing setup is very helpful while
fishing in shallow water. You can rig the camera for fishing and live view
within the same hole when ice fishing.
2.For open water application, this vertical-viewing setup is ideal for other
vertical applications, such as inspecting the bottom of the river. Fishes usually
like to dwell near the bottom.
Vertical-viewing setup (as shown in figure )
Simply drop the camera into the water to view the bottom of the river and
the weight of the camera will keep the camera down while the boat is drifting
or slow-trolling.
1.For ice fishing application, this horizontal-viewing setup is used as a search
tool.
Drill a series of holes through the ice, drop the camera down each hole in
search for the best spot. Once you’ve located the fishing spot, drill a hole
2 or 3 feet away from the hole youre actually going to fish in. Set the camera
on the ice and lower the camera down the second hole.
2.For open water application, this horizontal-viewing setup is used as a tool
to locate fish in a larger area!
Simply drop the camera into the water to search for the fishes and keep
the camera looking forward while the boat is drifting or slow-trolling.

Charging the Battery
Safety tips:
For safety concerns, it is recommended that you place the battery on a hard
surface like cement or tile when charging it, away from any flammable materials.
Be sure to disconnect the charger from the wall when not in use, and avoid
leaving your battery hooked up to the charger for extended periods of time.
To charge the battery:
1) Use this supplied power adapter to charge this battery.
2) Battery has two “piggybackterminals on its wiring harness. Simply couple
the end of the power adapter with the Led terminal of the battery’s wiring
harness.
3) Plug this power adapter into a 110~220 volt AC wall outlet.
Red LED lights up on the power adapter when battery charging, and
green led lights up after the battery was fully charged.
5) It takes up to 9~10 hours for battery charging. Anyway, you can disconnect
the charger from the battery and wall outlet during the time. It is no harm
to your battery.

5. If the camera becomes hung up, what to do?
If the camera becomes hung up, back up from the direction you were
traveling from and slowly try to back the camera out of the snag. DO NOT
pull directly upward with force unless all other avenues have been pursued.
6. Can I use this camera system in saltwater?
Yes. All cameras are saltwater-rated,constructed with stainless steel hardware
and materials that are impervious to corrosion.
We recommend rinsing salt water off camera using clean water and a soft
cloth after every use.
7. Will my unit work in cold weather conditions?
Cameras are designed to operate at temperatures ranging from -10 to
120 degrees F. But its battery life might decrease in cold conditions.
8. How wide is the camera lens view angle?
Camera lens has a viewing angle of 92 degrees. At 4-1/2 feet in front of
the camera you can view an image approximately 6 feet wide.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. How far can I see?
About 3.3 feet. 2 feet of visibility is sufficient for underwater viewing in
very clear water.
2. When do I use the lights?
The lights in the camera are designed for use in low-light conditions. Turn
the lights on for enhanced visibility in low light conditions.
3. How do I steer the camera?
Set up camera in Horizontal-viewing way, and then hold camera AV cable
and troll it in a slow speed (less than 2 mph). The camera will face in the
boat’s direction of travel. If you are facing and moving forward, so will the
camera.
4. How fast can I troll with my camera?
It depends on depth, and also on the length of cable you have out.
Generally, for optimal viewing, we recommend going less than 2 miles per
hour.
The deeper you go, with more cable out, the more water resistance there
will be from camera. So that requires slower travel for good viewing.
13
9. Can I connect this camera to a larger monitor?
Not sure. It depends on your extra larger monitor compatible with this
video signal from this camera or not!
10. The screen lights up but I see no picture.
Camera AV cable and power cable are disconnected. Plug the camera
connector into monitor connector, yellow to yellow, black to black!
Or else, camera cable connectors might be damaged.
11. The led (or IR) cannot light up.
Camera Led power cable is disconnected. Plug the power adapter Led
connector into camera Led connector, black to black!
