PR-1000HD Version 1.1 Main Features

❏
Output Resolution
The following shows the output resolutions that can be used.
*1: 1080/59.94p or 50p can be output in DVI-D only.
❏
De-interlace Setting
When de-interlace setting is set to off and 1080/59.94i or 50i material is played, either interlace
playback or progressive playback is used depending on the output resolution selection. For 1080/
59.94i or 50i output, interlace playback is used. For 1080/59.94p or 50p and 720/59.94p or 50p output,
it is converted to progressive. For other output resolutions, playback is with 29.94p or 25p without
canceling interlace.
When de-interlace setting is on, playback blends even-numbered and odd-numbered fields using
29.94p or 25p.
* When de-interlace setting is off with 1080i, 1080p, or 720p, you cannot confirm how effects, such as fade or
color adjustment, are applied on the “Video Output Monitor” on the operation screen. However, the final
output from the main unit will reflect the effects.
❏
Blurring of Paused Video when De-interlace is off
When using interlace during playback or when converting interlace materials to progressive, blurring
can be observed when playback is paused. You can display without blurring by displaying only one
field. A menu selection to achieve this is displayed on the “Video Output Monitor” by right-clicking.
❏
Display while fade is applied
When fade is applied during playback in Play Mode, the periphery of the “Video Output Monitor” is lit
red while the effect is being applied.
❏
Setting In-points and Out-points for the HDV clip
Because HDV materials are inter frame compression materials, the first several frames and the last few
frames may not play properly. When loading materials, please capture not only the required scene,
but extra material on either side. To play back only the required scene, be sure to properly set the in-
point and out-point on the PR-1000HD.
❏
Playing the first and last portions of HDV materials
Because HDV materials are inter frame compression materials, the first two frames and the last
number of frames may not play properly. For this reason, the start frame for the material shown in Edit
Mode is displayed as 00:00:00:02, and the end frame occurs before the actual end of the loaded
material.
❏
Playback speed operations during playback
If the playback speed slider is used during playback of video in Play Mode, the video may appear
distorted. The same also applies to changing the playback speed during playback using remote
control via MIDI or RS-232C.
❏
When Copying Materials over a Network
When copying material to this unit over a network, please be sure to confirm there is enough free
space on the removable hard disk drive. This is because when loading materials over a network, the
original file is first copied to the drive, and then a data file that can be used on this unit is generated. In
particular, when converting materials to Intra Frame Only materials, in addition to the space required
for copying the original material, twice as much free space is required.
❏
Other cautions
Materials of less than one second cannot be loaded.
Please do not capture from video tapes that have several formats mixed together; capture will not
perform properly on such tapes.
The drop frame of the video output might happen because of the audio and video synchronization.
