PRECAUTIONS
Do not use with water that is microbiologically
unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate
disinfection before or after the system.
Install on cold water lines only.

Do not use wicking or sealer for tting connections
into the cap of the lter. Plumber tape is
recommended.
This lter must be protected from freezing. Failure
to do so may result in cracking of the lter and water
leakage.
NOTE:
• For cold water use only.
• Make certain that installation complies with all state and
local laws and regulations.
• The contaminants or other substances removed or reduced
by the selected cartridge are not necessarily in your water.
Ask your local water municipality for a copy of their water
analysis, or have your water tested by a reputable water
testing lab.
INSTALLATION
NOTE:
• Please read all instructions, specications, and precautions
before installing and using this lter.
• Installation of a shut-off valve on the supply line to the
system is recommended.
• Style of ttings may vary, depending on type and size
of pipe.
• Use only plumber's tape for threaded housing connections.
• Install system after water meter or pressure tank.

NOTE: Allow a minimum 1-1/2 inch clearance below housing to
enable lter cartridge changes. Assemble all ttings.
Start pipe adapters into cap by hand. Use a wrench to
tighten rmly. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.

NOTE: Check local codes. A jumper wire may be required if
the water pipes are used to ground electrical systems,
appliances, or phones.

sure the o-ring is seated level in the groove.

NOTE: An activated carbon cartridge (Taste/Odor) will contain a
small amount of carbon nes (i.e. very ne black powder).
A new cartridge, after installation, should be ushed with
sucient water to remove the nes before using the
water.
NOTE: Some air may remain in the water lines after replacing the
cartridges. This air will dissipate within a week.
