LIMITED WARRANTY
The Manufacturer warrants to the original consumer purchaser that this product as
manufactured is free from defects in materials and workmanship. For a period of
two (2) years from date of purchase by the original consumer purchaser, we will re-
pair or replace, at our option, without charge for parts or labor incurred in replacing
parts, any part which we f nd to be defective due to materials or work man ship. This
Warranty is subject to the following limitations and exclusions.
1. This warranty does not apply to the engine, transaxle/transmission components,
battery (except as noted below) or com po nents parts thereof. Please refer to the
applicable manufacturer's warranty on these items.
2. Transportation charges for the movement of any power equipment unit or at-
tach ment are the responsibility of the purchaser. Transportation charges for any
parts sub mit ted for replacement under this warranty must be paid by the pur-
chaser unless such return is requested by the manufacturer.
3. Battery Warranty: On products equipped with a Battery, we will replace, without
charge to you, any battery which we f nd to be defective in manufacture, during
the f rst ninety (90) days of ownership. After ninety (90) days, we will exchange
the Battery, charging you 1/12 of the price of a new Battery for each full month
from the date of the original sale. Battery must be maintained in accordance with
the in struc tions furnished.
4. The Warranty period for any products used for rental or commercial purposes is
limited to 45 days from the date of original purchase.
5. This Warranty applies only to products which have been properly assembled,
adjusted, operated, and maintained in accordance with the instructions fur nished.
This Warranty does not apply to any product which has been subjected to al-
ter ation, misuse, abuse, improper assembly or installation, delivery damage, or to
normal wear of the product.
6. Exclusions: Excluded from this Warranty are belts, blades, blade adapters, nor-
mal wear, normal adjustments, standard hardware and normal maintenance.
7. In the event you have a claim under this Warranty, you must return the product to
an authorized service dealer.
Should you have any unanswered questions concerning this Warranty, contact:
giving the model number, serial number and date of purchase of your product and
the name and address of the au tho rized dealer from whom it was pur chased.
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES AND ANY IMPLIED WAR RAN TIES ARE LIMITED TO THE SAME
TIME PERIODS STATED HEREIN FOR OUR EXPRESSED WARRANTIES.
Some areas do not allow the limitation of consequential damages or lim i ta tions
of how long an implied Warranty may last, so the above lim i ta tions or exclusions
may not apply to you. This Warranty gives you specif c legal rights, and you may
have other rights which vary from locale to locale.
This is a limited Warranty within the meaning of that term as def ned in the Mag-
nuson-Moss Act of 1975.

Grass catcher components are sub ject
to wear, dam age, and de te ri o ra tion,
which could expose moving parts or
allow objects to be thrown. Frequently
check com po nents and replace with
man u fac tur er’s recommended parts,
when necessary.
Mower blades are sharp and can cut.
Wrap the blade(s) or wear gloves, and
use extra caution when ser vic ing them.
Do not change the engine governor set-
ting or overspeed the engine.
Maintain or replace safety and instruc-
tion labels, as necessary.
WARNING: This lawn mower is equipped with an internal com bus tion engine and
should not be used on or near any un im proved forest-covered, brush-covered or
grass-cov ered land unless the engine’s exhaust system is equipped with a spark
arrester meeting applicable local or state laws (if any). If a spark arrester is used, it
should be maintained in effective working order by the operator.
In the state of California the above is required by law (Section 4442 of the California
Public Resources Code). Other states may have similar laws. Federal laws apply on
federal lands.

ASSEMBLY / PRE-OPERATION
Read these instructions and this manual in
its entirety before you attempt to assemble
or operate your new lawn mower.
IMPORTANT: This lawn mower is shipped
WITHOUT OIL OR GASOLINE in the engine.
Your new lawn mower has been as sem -
bled at the factory with the exception of
those parts left unassembled for shipping
pur pos es. To ensure safe and proper
op er a tion of your lawn mower, all parts
and hard ware you assemble must be tight-
ened securely. Use the correct tools as
nec es sary to ensure proper tightness. All
parts such as nuts, wash ers, bolts, etc.,
nec es sary to complete the as sem bly have
been placed in the parts bag.
TO REMOVE MOWER FROM CARTON
1. Remove loose parts included with
mower.
2. Cut down two end corners of carton
and lay end panel down f at.
3. Remove all packing materials except
padding be tween upper and lower
handle and padding holding operator
presence control bar to upper handle.
4. Roll lawn mower out of carton and
check carton thor ough ly for additional
loose parts.
HOW TO SET UP YOUR MOW ER
TO UNFOLD HANDLE
IMPORTANT: Unfold handle carefully so
as not to pinch or damage con trol cables.
1. Raise handles until lower handle section
locks into place in mowing position.
2. Remove protective padding, raise up-
per handle sec tion into place on lower
handle and tighten both handle knobs.
3. Remove handle padding holding
operator pres ence control bar to upper
handle.
Your lawn mower handle can be adjusted
for your mowing comfort. Refer to “AD-
JUST HANDLE” in the Service and Adjust-
ments section of this manual.
TO ASSEMBLE GRASS CATCH ER
1. Put grass catcher frame into grass bag
with rigid part of bag on the bottom.
Make sure the frame handle is outside
of the bag top.
2. Slip vinyl bindings over frame.
NOTE: If vinyl bindings are too stiff, hold
them in warm water for a few minutes. If
bag gets wet, let it dry before using.
TO INSTALL ATTACHMENTS
Your lawn mower was shipped ready to be
used as a mulcher. To convert to bagging or
discharging, see “TO CON VERT MOWER”
in the Operation section of this manual.
