Description
For projects where control is mandatory, the
QX-mini Splitter (QAS-2X8) adds eight independent
and controllable audio channels to the QX-mini or
QX-mini-BP.
AS-2X8 QX-mini Amplier Splitter provides eight fully
supervised Class “a” (Style Z) or “B” (Style Y) speakers
zones.
Mounted to the main board, and connected to the ampli-
er, the QAS-2X8 allows the control of ON and OFF of
each of the eight zones
By connecting the QAS-2X8 to two different ampliers,
it is possible to have different audio playing in two
different zones.

• Provides eight fully supervised Class “a” (Style Z)
or “B” (Style Y) speakers zones.
• Control ON and OFF of each of the eight zones.
• QAS-2X8 mounts on the main board.
• Can be connected to two different amplifiers.
• For indoor and dry environment use only.

If connected to a Mircom re panel, FleXNet, FX-2000,
FX-3500 or FX-3318, and two ampliers, it can send
different messages to the Event Floor and Surrounding

Backup Amplier
When there are 2 ampliers (QAD-30) and 1 splitter
(QAS-2X8) installed, one of the ampliers can be
congured as a backup amplier. If the main amplier
fails, the backup amplier takes over.

Up to 8 Audio Outputs with 2 different audio messages per Panel with QAS-2X8 Audio
Amplier Splitter
When connecting 2 ampliers to the audio zone splitter in an application where each amplier plays a different audio
message. For example, one amplier can provide an alarm signal to a zone, and the other amplier can provide
an alert signal to the other zones. This conguration provides 8 outputs. The 8 outputs can select from amplier 1,
amplier 2, or they can be off.
Backup Amplier with QAS-2X8 Audio Amplier Splitter
When there are 2 ampliers installed, one of them can be congured as a backup. If the main amplier fails, the
backup amplier takes over.
