terialtypesandbackgroundRFnoisealsoaffectthewirelessnetwork.
Tomaximizethewirelessnetworkscope,complywiththefollowingmethods:
1.ReducethenumberofwallsandceilingsbetweentheZXHNH389Aand
othernetworkdevices.
Eachwallorceilingreducesthewirelessnetworkscopeby1to30meters.
ProperlyplacetheZXHNH389Atoreducethenumberofwallsandceilings.
2.Complywiththestraightlineprinciplebetweennetworkdevices.
At45degreeangle,awallwiththethicknessbeinghalfameterisasthick
asonemeter.Toreceivemoresignals,devicesneedtobeplacedtoenable
thesignalstobetransmitteddirectlythroughwallsorceilings.
3.Thewirelessnetworkscopeisalsoaffectedbybuildingmaterials.
Thescopeisaffectedbysolidmetaldoorsoraluminumstuds.Trytoplace
accessingpoints,wirelessrouters,andcomputers,andthensignalscanbe
transmittedthroughdrywallsoropenchannels,forexample,FRPproducts,
metalproducts,insulatedwalls,lingcabinet,bricks,andconcreteweaken
thewirelesssignals.
4.MakesurethattheZXHNH389AwiththeWiFifunctionkeepsfarawayfrom
thefollowingdevices:
Keepatleasttwometersfarawayfromelectricaldevicesorcomponentsthat
generateRFnoise.Signalsaregreatlyweakenedorevencompletelydis-
appearedbya2.4GHzwirelessmobileorX-10,forexample,amicrowave
oven,homesecuritysystem,bluetoothdevice,oricebox.
4Troubleshooting
AllindicatorsareOffwhentheZXHNH389AequipmentispoweredOn.
FirstmakesurethatyouhaveinsertedthepoweradapteroftheZXHN
H389Aintoaworkingpowersocket.IftheindicatorsarestillOffaftercon-
rmationoftheaboveitems,maybethehardwareisdamaged.Youmay
contactlocaloperatorformaintenance.Neverdismantletheequipmentby
yourself.
Sometimes,theDSLuserscannotaccesstotheInternetnormally
FirstcheckwhethertheZXHNH389Aisinthenormalstate(Checkthein-
dicatorsaccordingtothisusermanual).Ifyes,thecomputerorapplication
networkmaybefaulty.ThisisunrelatedwithDSL.IftheZXHNH389Ais
abnormal,checkthestatusofindicatorsonebyonetoremovethefault.
Itissuggestedtocheckthefollowingitemsbeforeseekinghelpfromoper-
ators:
i.TheDSLtelephonecableconnectorsareproper.
ii.TheDSLisawayfromthepowercableandlarge-powerelectronicde-
vices.
iii.Notelephoneextensionsandfaxmachinesareconnectedbetweenthe
DSLincominglineandsplitter.
iv.Thesplitterhasbeeninstalledcorrectly.
v.TheZXHNH389Ahasgoodheatdissipationratio.
WhatarereasonsforDSLsynchronizationfailure(alsoreferredaslink
downorlinkestablishmentfailure)?
IftheDSLsuddenlyfailstobesynchronized(linkdown)duringapplication,
usuallytheLinkindicatorontheZXHNH389AwillnotbeOn.Itissuggested
tocheckthefollowingstepsonebyone:
i.Firstcheckthequalityofincomingcablesandincomingcableconnectors.
ii.InstalltheZXHNH389Acorrectlybasedontheuserguidance.Minimize
thenumberoftaps.
iii.CheckwhetherthetelephonecablesandDSLareingoodconnectionor
whetherthetelephonecablesarenormal.
iv.TrytodisconnectthesplitteranddirectlyconnecttheZXHNH389Ato
theincomingusercableend.Ensuretheproblemisnotduetoimproper
installationorincominguserlinequality.IftheDSLcanbesynchronized
again,itmeansthatinstallationoftheincomingusersideisimproper.
Pleasereinstallitaccordingtotheuserguide.
v.IftheDSLstillfailstobesynchronizedwhentheZXHNH389Aiscon-
nectedtotheincomingusercableend,contacttheoperatorstocheck

replacement.
vii.Iftheproblemisduetotheendofceequipmentfailure,calltheoperator

causepooranti-interferenceperformanceandsynchronizationdifculty.
Therefore,theconnectioncableshouldnotbetoolong.
ThegreenLANindicatoronthefrontpanelisoffafterthedeviceis
poweredon.
ThecorrespondingLANlinkisnotestablished.
TheEthernetcableisnotcorrectlyconnectedtotheLANinterface.
ThenetworkdeviceconnectedtotheLANinterfaceisnotpoweredon.

ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClass
Bdigitaldevice,pursuanttopart15oftheFCCRules.Theselimitsarede-
signedtoprovidereasonableprotectionagainstharmfulinterferenceinares-
identialinstallation.Thisequipmentgenerates,usesandcanradiateradio
frequencyenergyand,ifnotinstalledandusedinaccordancewiththeinstruc-
tions,maycauseharmfulinterferencetoradiocommunications.However,
thereisnoguaranteethatinterferencewillnotoccurinaparticularinstalla-
tion.Ifthisequipmentdoescauseharmfulinterferencetoradioortelevision
reception,whichcanbedeterminedbyturningtheequipmentoffandon,the
