ENVELOPE BI-FILTER
The Supa Funk is the evolution of our Funkzilla and
Funk-lite family of pedals, featuring a responsive and
articulate envelope generator, expanded controls and most
notably, the new Color knob that blends in a secondary
low-pass filter. Go from a classic snappy vintage funk
bom-chicka-wow-wow, all the way to throaty, full, rich and
vocal filter sweeps at the turn of a knob.
To complete it’s all analog funkariffic tonal pallet, the
Supa Funk is housed in a beautiful 70’s retro themed
enclosure with top jacks and soft touch true-bypass
switching and is designed and built entirely by a passion-
ate team of gearheads in our Montreal shop.
We hope you’re ready to get down and boogie...you supply
the groove and this little box will bring the funk.
What is the Supa Funk?
What do the Controls do?
Depth: From light and funky to deep and fun-kay, this knob adjusts
the width or peak of the envelope effect.
Freq: This control adjusts the center frequency of the filter
sweeps. At noon, the control is set neutral. Turn the knob CCW for
lower-frequency dub blasts and turn it CW for higher-frequency stabs
that really cut.
Attack: This control determines how hard you have to hit the strings
to get the filter to “open up.” It adjusts two parameters at once —
decay time and sensitivity. Turning the Attack CW triggers the
filter more easily and keeps its open longer. Turning CCW makes the
pedal more responsive by requiring more signal to trigger the filter
and giving it a quicker decay time. Turning this knob to zero slams
the envelope shut and you can dial in fixed filter or “cocked wah”
tones.
Color: This control blends in the secondary filter. Turn it CCW for
brighter, snappier filter tones and CW for added girth and growl.
Direction: Changes the sweep direction between forward and reverse.
Level: This is the master volume of the pedal.
