Grill Installation Codes
ThisgrillhasbeentestedinaccordancewithANSIZ21.58-
2005/CSA 1.6-2005 and ANSI Z21.58a-2006/CSA1.6a-
2006.Theinstallationofthisgasgrillmustconformwithlo-
calcodesor,intheabsenceoflocalcodeswiththeNational
FuelGasCode,ANSIZ223.1/NFPA54(IntheUSA)orNat-
ural Gas and Propane Installation Code, CSA B149.1 or
PropaneStorageandHandlingCode,B149.2(inCanada).
Neverusethisgasgrillinagarage,porch,shed,breeze-
wayoranyotherenclosedarea.Thegasgrillistobeused
outdoorsonly,withatleast6inchclearancefromtheback
andsidesofthegrilltoanycombustiblesurface.Thegas
grillshallnotbelocatedunderoverheadcombustiblecon-
struction.Do not obstruct the ow of combustionor ven-
tilationair around the gas grill housing. Donot block the
bottomairvents.
Thisoutdoorgasgrillisnotintendedtobeinstalledinoron
recreationalvehiclesand/orboats.
Correct LPG Cylinder Use
Thisgasgrillisdesignedforusewithastandarddispos-
able1lb.LiquidPropaneGas(LPG)cylinder,notincluded
withgrillbox.NeverconnectthegasgrilltoanLPGcylin-
derthatexceedsthiscapacity.TheLPGcylindermustbe
an“OPD”gascylinderwhichoffersanOverllPrevention
Device.Thissafetyfeaturepreventsthecylinderfrombe-
ingoverlledwhichcancausemalfunctionoftheLPGcyl-
inderand/orgrill.
TheLPGcylindermustbeconstructedandmarkedinac-
cordancewiththeSpecicationsforLP-GasCylindersofthe
U.S. Department ofTransportation(DOT) or the National
StandardofCanada,CAN/CSA-B339,Cylinders,Spheres
and Tubes for Transportation of Dangerous Goods: and
Commission,asapplicable.
Inaddition:
1. TheLPGcylindermustalsobeprovidedwithalisted
overlling prevention device, and a cylinder connec-
tiondevicecompatiblewiththeconnectionforoutdoor
cookingappliances.
2. TheLPGcylinderusedmusthaveacollartoprotectthe
cylindervalve.
3. Thecylindersupplysystemmustbearrangedforvapor
withdrawal.SeeFigure5onpage9.
4. NeverconnectanunregulatedLPGcylindertothegas
grill.
5. DonotstoreaspareLP-gascylinderunderornearthis
applianceoranyotherignitionsource.
If this information is not followed exactly, a re
causing death or serious injury may occur.
6. AlwayskeepLPGcylindersinanuprightpositionwhen
notinuse.
7. Donotstore(oruse)combustiblematerials,gasolineor
otherammablevaporsandliquidsinthevicinityofthis
gasgrill.
8. DonotsubjecttheLPGcylindertoexcessiveheat.
9. WhenthegasgrillisnotinusetheLPGcylindermust
bedisconnectedfromthegrill.
10. NeverstoreanLPGcylinderindoors.Ifstoringthegas
grillinthegarageorotherindoorlocation,alwaysdis-
connectandremovetheLPGcylinder.Cylindersmust
be stored outdoors out of the reach of children and
mustnotbestoredinabuilding,garage or anyother
enclosedarea.
