Pleasefollowthefollowinginstructionstobuildanetworkconnectionbetweenyournew
broadbandrouter,computers,andothernetworkdevices:
1. ConnectyourxDSLorcablemodemtotherouter’s“WAN”portwithanEthernet
cable.
2. Connectyourcomputertooneoftherouter’s“LAN”portswithanEthernetcable.
3. Connectthepoweradaptertothewallsocket,andthenconnectittothe“12V”
socketonthebackpaneloftherouter.

4. PleasecheckalltheLEDsonthefrontpanel.The“PWR”and“WAN”LEDsshouldbe
on.The“LAN”LEDshouldbeonifthecomputerisconnectedandcorrectly
powered.Ifyouencounteranyproblems,pleasemakesurethatallyourdevices
areconnectedandpoweredcorrectly.

Beforeyoustartconfigurationprocedures,yourcomputermustbeabletogetanIPaddress

NOTE:Ifyoucannotaccessthebroadbandrouter’swebbasedconfiguration
interface,theIPaddressyouhaveinputtedmaybeincorrect.Ifyouhavepreviously

following“IPAddress”beginswith“169”,pleasetrythefollowingprocedures:
z Recheckthecableconnectionbetweenthecomputerandtherouter.
z Gotothebeginningofthischapterandrecheckeverystepof

procedure.
z Ifbothoftheabovefails,resetthebroadbandrouter.

Thisbroadbandrouter’s“iQSetup”featureallowsyoutosetupbasicparametersinafew
simplesteps.
1. Click“QuickSetup”afterloggingin.

3. Click“PerformiQSetup”anditwillstartdetectingyourInternetservicetype.
Note:YourcomputeroriPhonecanalsouseiQSetupwithaWiFiconnection.Please
makesureyouhaveconnectedto thecorrectWiFinetwork.Therouter’sdefaultSSID
is“Edimax”.

IfyourInternetconnectiontypeisPPPoE,youwillseethefollowing:
PleaseentertheusernameandpasswordprovidedbyyourISP(usernamesandpasswords
arecasesensitive).Click“Next”andthefollowingwillappear:

iQoSisEdimax’sanswertotheneedforaquickandeasywaytomanageinternet
bandwidth.Itsintuitiveandfriendlyuserinterfaceallowsyoutoarrangeyourbandwidth
prioritiesinafewsimplesteps.
1. First,click“iQoS”toaccesstheiQoSuserinterface.
2. Checkthe“EnableiQoS”boxto enablethefunction.
