DANGER
Do not clean out discharge chute with hands. Contact
with moving parts inside chute will cause serious
injury. Use a piece of wood. Use the following
procedure to remove objects or clear the chute.
1. Stop the engine. Remove the key.
2. Wait 10 seconds to be sure the auger/impeller blades
have stopped rotating.
3. Always use a piece of wood. DO NOT use your hands.
UNIT CONTROLS
Before you begin operating the unit and attachment, make
certain you have:
• Read and understood the instructions in the unit
Operator’s Manual.
• Become thoroughly familiar with all of the unit
controls and their operation, including how to
safely and properly start and stop the unit.
• Practice driving in an open area, without the
attachment, to become accustomed to the unit.
Safety Alert Symbol and Signal Words
The safety alert symbol and signal word
(DANGER, WARNING, CAUTION, or NOTICE) is
used to indicate the likelihood and potential severity
of personal injury and/or damage to the product. In
addition, a hazard symbol may be used to represent
the type of hazard.

Operator Safety
TRAINING
1. Read, understand, and follow all instructions on the
machine and in the manuals before operating this unit.
Be thoroughly familiar with the controls and the proper
use of the equipment. Know how to stop the unit and
disengage the controls quickly.
2. Never allow children to operate the equipment. Never
allow adults to operate the equipment without proper
instruction.
3. Keep the area of operation clear of all persons,
particularly small children and pets.
PREPARATION
1. Thoroughly inspect the area where the equipment is to
be used and remove all doormats, sleds, boards, wires,
and other foreign objects.
2. Disengage all clutches and shift into neutral before
starting engine (motor).
3. Do not operate the equipment without wearing adequate
winter outer garments. Avoid loose fitting clothing that
can get caught in moving parts. Wear footwear that will
improve footing on slippery surfaces.
4. Handle fuel with care; it is highly flammable.
(a) Use an approved fuel container.
(b) Never add fuel to a running engine or hot engine.
(c) Fill fuel tank outdoors with extreme care. Never fill
fuel tank indoors. Replace fuel cap securely and wipe up
spilled fuel.
(d) Never fill containers inside a vehicle or on a truck or
trailer bed with a plastic liner. Always place containers on
the ground, away from your vehicle, before filling.
(e) When practical, remove gas-powered equipment from
the truck or trailer and refuel it on the ground. If this is
not possible, then refuel such on a trailer with a portable
container, rather than from a gasoline dispenser nozzle.
(f) Keep nozzle in contact with the rim of the fuel tank or
container opening at all times, until refueling is complete.
Do not use a nozzle lock-open device.
(g) Replace gasoline cap securely and wipe up spilled
fuel.
(h) If fuel is spilled on clothing, change clothing
immediately.
5. Adjust the collector housing height to clear gravel or
crushed rock surfaces.
6. Never attempt to make any adjustments while the
engine (motor) is running (except when specifically
recommended by the manufacturer).
7. Let engine (motor) and machine adjust to outdoor
temperatures before starting to clear snow.
8. Always wear safety glasses or eye shields during
operation or while performing an adjustment or repair
to protect eye from foreign objects that may be thrown
from the machine.
OPERATION
1. Do not put hands or feet near or under rotating parts.
Keep clear of the discharge opening at all times.
2. Exercise extreme caution when operating on or crossing
gravel drives, walks, or roads. Stay alert for hidden
hazards or traffic. Do not carry Passengers.
3. After striking a foreign object, stop the engine (motor),
remove the wire from the spark plug, disconnect the cord
on electric motors, thoroughly inspect the snowthrower
for any damage, and repair the damage before restarting
and operating the snowthrower.
4. If the unit should start to vibrate abnormally, stop the
engine (motor) and check immediately for the cause.
Vibration is generally a warning of trouble.
5. Stop the engine (motor) whenever you leave the
operating position, before unclogging the collector/
impeller housing or discharge guide, and when making
any repairs, adjustments, or inspections.
6. When leaving the machine unattended, disengage the
power take-off (PTO), lower the attachment, set the
parking brake, stop the engine, and remove the key.
7. When cleaning, repairing, or inspecting make certain the
collector/impeller and all moving parts have stopped.
Disconnect the spark plug wire and keep the wire away
from the plug to prevent accidental starting. Do not run
the engine indoors except for starting the engine or for
transporting the snowthrower in or out of the building.
Open the outside doors; exhaust fumes are dangerous.
8. Exercise extreme caution when operating on slopes. Do
not attempt to clear steep slopes.
9. Never operate the snowthrower without proper guards
plates, or other safety protective devices in place and
working.
10. Never direct the discharge toward people or areas where
property damage can occur. Keep children and others
away.
11. Do not overload the machine capacity by attempting to
clear snow at too fast a rate.
12. Never operate the machine at high transport speeds
on slippery surfaces. Look behind and use care when
operating in reverse.
13. Disengage power to the collector/impeller when
snowthrower is transported or not in use.
14. Use only attachments and accessories approved by
the manufacturer of the snowthrower (such as wheel
weights, counterweights, or cabs).
15. Never operate the snowthrower without good visibility or
light. Always be sure of your footing, and keep a firm hold
on the handles. Walk, never run.
16. Never touch a hot engine or muffler.
17. Never operate the snowthrower near glass enclosures,
automobiles, window wells, drop-offs, and the like
without proper adjustment of the discharge angle.
This machine is capable to amputating hands and feet. Read these safety rules and follow them closely.
Failure to obey these rules could result in loss of control of unit, severe personal injury or death to you, or
bystanders, or damage to property or equipment. The triangle in text signifi es important cautions or
warnings which must be followed.

18. Never direct discharge at bystanders or allow anyone in
front of the unit.
19. Never leave a running unit unattended. Always
disengage the auger and traction controls, stop engine,
and remove keys.
20. Do not operate the unit while under the influence of
alcohol or drugs.
21. Keep in mind the operator is responsible for accidents
occurring to other people or property.
22. Data indicates that operators, age 60 years and above,
are involved in a large percentage of power equipment-
related injuries. These operators should evaluate their
ability to operate the unit safely enough to protect
themselves and others from injury.
23. DO NOT wear long scarves or loose clothing that could
become entangled in moving parts.
24. Snow can hide obstacles. Make sure to remove all
obstacles from the area to be cleared.
CHILDREN
Tragic accidents can occur if the operator is not alert to
the presence of children. Children are often attracted
to the unit and the operating activity. Never assume
that children will remain where you last saw them.
1. Keep children out of the area and under the watchful
care of another responsible adult.
2. Be alert and turn unit off if children enter the area.
3. Never allow children to operate the unit.
4. Use extra care when approaching blind corners, shrubs,
trees, or other objects that may obscure vision.
CLEARING A CLOGGED DISCHARGE CHUTE
Hand contact with the rotating impeller inside the discharge
chute is the most common cause of injury associated
with snowthrowers. Never use your hand to clean out the
discharge chute.
To clear the chute:
1. SHUT OFF THE ENGINE.
2. Wait 10 seconds to be sure the impeller blades have
stopped rotating.
3. Always use a clean out tool, not your hands.
SERVICE, MAINTENANCE, AND STORAGE
1. Check shear bolts and other bolts at frequent intervals
for proper tightness to be sure the equipment is in safe
working condition.
2. Never store the machine with fuel in the fuel tank inside
a building where ignition sources are present such as hot
water and spacer heaters, or clothes dryers. Allow the
engine to cool before storing in any enclosure.
3. Always refer to the operator’s manual for important
details if the snowthrower is to be stored for an extended
period.
4. Maintain or replace safety and instruction labels as
necessary.
5. Run the machine a few minutes after throwing snow to
prevent freeze-up of the collector/impeller.
6. If fuel is spilled, do not attempt to start the engine but
move the machine away from the area of spillage and
avoid creating any source of ignition until fuel vapors
have dissipated.
7. Always observe safe refueling and fuel handling
practices when refueling the unit after transportation or
storage
8. Always follow the engine manual instructions for storage
preparations before storing the unit for both short and
long term periods.
9. Always follow the engine manual instructions for proper
start-up procedures when returning the unit to service.
10. Maintain or replace safety and instruction labels as
necessary.
11. Keep nuts and bolts tight and keep equipment in good
condition.
12. Never tamper with safety devices. Check their proper
operation regularly and make necessary repairs if they
are not functioning properly.
13. Components are subject to wear, damage, and
deterioration. Frequently check components and
replace with manufacturer’s recommended parts, when
necessary.
14. Check control operation frequently. Adjust and service as
required.
15. Use only factory authorized replacement parts when
making repairs.
16. Always comply with factory specifications on all settings
and adjustments.
17. Only authorized service locations should be utilized for
major service and repair requirements.
18. Never attempt to make major repairs on this unit unless
you have been properly trained. Improper service
procedures can result in hazardous operation, equipment
damage and voiding of manufacturer’s warranty.
19. Check shear bolts and other bolts at frequent intervals
for proper tightness to be sure the equipment is in safe
working condition.

SAFETY DECALS
This unit has been designed and manufactured to
provide you with the safety and reliability you would
expect from an industry leader in outdoor power
equipment manufacturing.
Although reading this manual and the safety
instructions it contains will provide you with the
necessary basic knowledge to operate this equipment
safely and effectively, we have placed several safety
labels on the unit to remind you of this important
information while you are operating your unit.
Decal Replacement Kit - P/N 5600407
All DANGER, WARNING, CAUTION and instructional
messages on your unit should be carefully read and
obeyed. Personal bodily injury can result when these
instructions are not followed. The information is for
your safety and it is important! The safety decals below
are on your unit.
If any of these decals are lost or damaged, replace
them at once. See your local dealer for replacements.
These labels are easily applied and will act as a
constant visual reminder to you, and others who may
use the equipment, to follow the safety instructions
necessary for safe, effective operation.

Controls
Read and understand the instructions in your tractor
Operator’s Manual.
Refer to Figure 1 for control locations.
A. ELECTRIC CHUTE ROTATOR
Rotates the chute right and left.
B. PTO SWITCH
Engages and disengages the snow blower.
C. ATTACHMENT LIFT
Raises and lowers the snow blower.
D. THROTTLE
Sets engine speed. Always use FULL throttle.
E. DEFLECTOR ADJUSTMENT
The deflector angle must be set according to the
distance the snow must be thrown. To adjust the
angle:
• Turn the chute to the right as far as possible.
• Disengage the PTO switch.
• Shutoff the engine.
• Loosen the two deflector knobs on the side and
adjust the deflector at the appropriate angle.
• Tighten the knobs.
Checks Before Starting
1. Refer to the Maintenance & Adjustments section of
this manual and perform any needed service. Also,
refer to the tractor Operator’s Manual and perform
any required service.
2. Remove any objects from the work area which
might be caught in, or thrown by the auger.
3. Before starting the engine, clear the auger of any
ice which may cause damage to the unit.
4. Adjust the deflector and skid shoes to desired
height. See Skid Shoe Adjustment.
5. Make sure all hardware is present and secure.

WARNING
• Never operate on slopes greater than 10°, which is a rise
of 21 inches vertically in 10 feet horizontally.
• When operating on slopes wheel weights and tire chains
are required.
• Select slow ground speed before driving onto a slope.
Avoid using brakes to control speed.
• Drive up and down the face of the slopes, never across
the slope face.
• Use caution when changing directions and DO
NOT START OR STOP ON A SLOPE.
WARNING
Perform the Safety System Interlock test found in your
tractor Operator’s Manual. If unit does not pass the test,
do not operate the unit. See your authorized dealer. Under
no circumstances should you attempt to defeat the safety
system.

Transporting
1. Disengage the electric clutch and then raise the
snowthrower.
2. Adjust ground speed according to surface
conditions.
3. Select a low ground speed when transporting on a
slippery surface.
Engine & Ground Speed Selection
Always run the engine at full throttle.
Normally, a slow ground speed is best for throwing
snow. The deeper or heavier the snow, the slower the
recommended ground speed.
Starting & Stopping
1. Start the tractor engine. Set engine throttle at full
speed.
2. Lower the snowthrower.
3. Engage the electric clutch switch. Snowthrower
auger should rotate. Disengage the electric clutch
switch. Snowthrower auger should stop.
Snow Removal Suggestions
• Determine the best snow removal pattern before
beginning.
• Wind direction is an important factor to consider.
Rotate the spout to discharge snow downwind.
• Plan the pattern so that you avoid throwing snow
on cleared areas and on yourself as you are
operating.
• When land contour permits, it is best to travel in the
longest direction to minimize turning.
• In very deep or heavy snow, it may be necessary
to make the first pass with snowthrower partially
raised, backing up every few feet and lowering the
snowthrower to clear the snow left on the surface.
Also, it may be necessary to slice off less than the
full width of the auger or reduce ground speed.
• If snow stops flowing freely from the spout, back
away until the snowthrower clears itself.
Daily Storage
1. Run the snowthrower a few minutes after blowing
snow to prevent freeze-up of auger.
2. Allow tractor engine to cool before storing in any
enclosure.
Off-Season Storage
1. Remove snowthrower from the tractor. Hitch can
remain installed if other attachments are to be
used.
2. Use water pressure or a brush to thoroughly clean
the housing.
3. Paint, or lightly coat with oil, any area where paint
has been worn or chipped away.
4. Lubricate the snowthrower.
5. Store the snowthrower and hitch in a dry place.
4. Select the proper ground speed.
5. To stop the tractor, move the control levers to
neutral.To stop the snowthrower, disengage the
electric clutch. Before leaving the seat, stop the
engine, disengage the electric clutch, set the
parking brake, remove the key, and wait for all
moving parts to stop.
WARNING
Always raise the snowthrower before turning or backing up,
to prevent damage to the unit.
WARNING
If auger does not start and stop when engaging/ disengaging
electric clutch, see your authorized dealer. Under no
circumstances should you attempt to defeat the safety
system.
DANGER
If the auger stalls or the chute plugs, DISENGAGE THE
PTO SWITCH, STOP THE ENGINE AND REMOVE THE
KEY. SET THE PARKING BRAKE. WAIT FOR MOVING
PARTS TO STOP. Remove the foreign object or clear the
spout with a piece of wood before restarting the engine.
Never place hands into auger housing or spout to clear
jammed object. Auger may rotate when object is removed.
DANGER
To prevent an explosion or fire, never store the tractor with
fuel in the tank inside a building where an ignition source is
present.

Maintenance
Schedule For Normal Care
Inspect, Adjust, & Lubricate Drive Chain
1. Remove the two (2) flange bolts (A, Figure 2) and
the chain guard (E).
2. Check the chain (D). Replace chain if worn or
damaged.
3. There should be no slack in the chain, and the
sprockets should be aligned. If adjustment is
required proceed with steps 4 - 7.
4. Loosen the four (4) flange nuts (B).
5. Loosen the two (2) carriage bolts (F) on flange (G)
of the rear shaft support bearing.
6. Pull downward on the drive sprocket assembly (C)
to tighten the chain in order to leave approximately
1/4” deflection. Retighten the flange nuts.
7. Spread a coat of grease on the chain, working the
grease into the links.
8. Reinstall the chain guard and flange bolts.
Lubricate the Auger and Discharge Chute
Lubricate the auger and the ring gear at the base of
the discharge chute with lithium grease. Lubricate the
deflector hinge with oil. See Figure 3
Lubricate the Drive Shaft
Lubricate the universal joints at both ends of the drive
shaft with lithium grease. Also lubricate the grease
fitting in the middle of the shaft. See Figure 4
Care Required Schedule
Clean snow and ice from
snowthrower.
Lubricate Driveshaft
Lubricate Auger
Inspect, adjust and lubricate
drive chain.
Check Gear Box Oil
After each use.
Every 8 hours.
Every 24 hours / once a year.
Every 4 hours / every use.

WARNING
To avoid serious injury, perform maintenance on the tractor or
snowthrower only when the engine is stopped, parking brake
is set and all moving parts have stopped. Always remove the
ignition key before beginning maintenance or adjustments to
prevent accidental starting of the engine.

Check Gear Box Oil
Check the oil level in the gear box (A, Figure 5) and
if necessary, add AGMA 5EP, SAE 80W90 gear oil or
equivalent.
Inspect & Reversing Scraper Bar
1. Raise snowthrower to highest position.
2. Use safety block(s) to secure snowthrower:
a. Place safety block under attachment.
b. Lower attachment until it rests on block(s).
3. Inspect location where scraper bar (B) meets
snowthrower housing. If necessary proceed to
steps 4-7.
4. Remove the eight (8) nuts and bolts (C).
5. Remove scraper bar (B).
6. Reverse or replace scraper bar.
7. Replace the eight (8) nuts and bolts and tighten.
Shear Bolts
Refer to Figure 5 for the special grade 8 one grooved
shear bolt on the discharge fan (D) and the two (2)
special grade 5 two grooved shear bolts (E) on the
auger.
Check at frequent intervals for proper tightness to
be sure the snowblower is in safe working condition.
Torque must be at 9 lbs-ft (12 N-M).
Check for excessive wear. The shear bolt will break if
the auger or fan hits a solid object. If this happens:
1. Stop the snowthrower and tractor immediately.
2. Stop the engine, lock the parking brake, and
remove the key.
3. Remove the broken shear bolt.
4. Install a new shear bolt.
5. Locate and correct the cause of the shearing.
Note: After shear bolt breakage on one of the augers,
make sure to reposition the augers 180° opposite from
each other.
Skid Shoe Adjustment
Adjust the snowthrower so that the skid shoes run level
and according to the surface conditions so that stones
are not thrown with the snow.
Adjust both skid shoes to the same height to keep
the cutting edge level and adjust upwards for smooth
surfaces.
Loosen skid shoe bolts (A, Figure 6), adjust to the
necessary clearance measurement (B).
• Level paved surface: 1/16” to 1/8”
• Uneven or gravel surface: 1/2” to 5/8”

Installation
Mower Deck Removal Procedure
1. Park the machine on a smooth, level surface such
as a concrete floor. Engage the parking brake,
disengage the PTO, and turn off the ignition key.
2. Turn the ignition key to the RUN position and push
the mower deck lift actuator switch forward (away
from the operator’s position) to extend the actuator
until you hear a ratcheting noise.
3. Move the cutting height adjustment pin to the
lowest cutting position.
4. Remove the pins with lanyards (B, Figure 7) from
the attachment lift arms (A).
5. Retract the actuator completely by pulling the
mower deck lift actuator switch backwards (towards
the operator’s position).
6. Disconnect the two (2) spring links (C, Figure 7)
from the tractor connection point (F).
7. Extend the actuator until the front wheels contact
the ground.
8. Reinstall the pins with lanyards through the rear
hole (G) of the attachment latches (D).
9. Extend the actuator until the load is removed from
the actuator. Turn the ignition key to the OFF
position.
10. Raise the seat and disconnect the actuator wire
harness (A, Figure 8) on the right side of the
machine by rotating the connector dial (B) and
pulling apart.
11. Pull the mower deck end of the actuator wire
harness from the tractor.
12. Disconnect the rear of the actuator (A, Figure 10)
from the tractor by removing the pin with lanyard
(B).
13. Locate the drive shaft (A, Figure 9) under the
machine and disconnect it by pulling the drive shaft
collar (B) toward the universal joint.
14. Pull the deck attachment lever (E, Figure 7) up
and back.
15. Back the tractor away from the mower deck.

Installation
Preparing Snow Blower For Installation
1. Loosen and remove the three (3) 1/4” bolts (A,
Figure 11) the secure the chute motor (L) to the
blower. Rotate the motor counter-clockwise and
reinstall the hardware. See Figure 11
1. Remove the two (2) flanges (G, Figure 12) and
bearing (J) from the blower shaft (L).
2. Position the snow blower mount (A) onto the blower
(B) by sliding the blower shaft (L) through the
center of the mount.
3. Connect the mount to the blower by installing two
(2) 1/2” bolts and washers (E) through the bottom
set of holes as shown in figure 11. Secure with two
(2) 1/2” nuts (F).
4. Install two (2) 3/8” bolts and washers (C) through
the top set of holes as shown in figure 11. Secure
with two (2) 3/8” nuts (D).
5. Place the flanges (G) and bearing (J) back onto the
blower shaft (L).
6. Secure the flanges with two (2) 5/16” carriage bolts
(H) and 5/16” nuts (I). Tighten down the set screw
(K) into the bearing.

Attaching the Drive Shaft to the Snow Blower
1. Place the key (B, Figure 13) onto the blower shaft
(A).
2. Slide the universal joint of the female end of drive
shaft (C) onto the blower shaft. Be sure to leave
1/16” clearance between the end of the shaft and
the end of the universal joint to aviod hitting the
grease fitting (F).
3. Secure the drive shaft in place by tightening down
the bolt & nut (D) and then tightening down the set
screw (E).
Preparing The ZTR For Installation
Replacing the Spring Pivot Mounts
1. Loosen and remove the 3/4” X 4-1/2” bolt (C,
Figure 14), 3/4” washer (D) and 3/4” nut (G).
2. Remove the brass bushing (E) and spacer (F) from
the old spring pivot mount (A). Discard the old
bracket.
3. Remove the spring attachment bolt, nut, washer
and jam nut from the old spring pivot mount.
4. Install the brass bushing (E) and spacer (F) into the
new spring pivot mount (B).
5. Install the spring attachment bolt, nut, washer and
jam nut onto the new spring pivot mount.
6. Secure the new mount to the machine with the
existing hardware that was removed in Step 1.
7. Repeat this process to the other side of the
machine.

Installing the Actuator Mounting Bracket
1. Install the actuator mount support (B, Figure 15)
by loosely installing two (2) 3/8” X 1-1/4” bolts (G),
3/8” washers (H) and 3/8” nuts (I). See Figure 20.
2. Install the actuator mount bracket (A) using four
(4) 5/16” X 1-1/4” bolts (C), 5/16” washers (D) and
three (3) 5/16” nuts (E). Be sure to tighten down
the bolt that uses the existing body clip (F) first,
followed by the three (3) bolts that require 5/16”
nuts.
3. Tighten down the 3/8” hardware installed during
Step 1.
Removing the Upper Floor Plate
1. Loosen and remove the four (4) 5/16” carriage bolts
(B, Figure 16) and 5/16” nuts (A).
2. Remove the upper floor plate (A) from the machine.
Save the floor plate for reinstallation.
Installing the Snow Blower
Attaching the Snow Blower and Mount
1. Place the snow blower with the mount attached and
kick stand down on a flat level surface.
2. Remove the pin with lanyard (A, Figure 17) from
the latch on the attachment mount on both sides of
the machine.
2. Align the machine straight behind the mount and
drive slowely into the blower as shown in Figure 17.
3. The latch on the attachment mount (A, Figure 18)
should securely enclose around the snow blower
mount (B).

Installing the Actuator (Upper)
1. Insert the actuator (A, Figure 19) into the actuator
mount bracket (B).
2. Secure the actuator with the existing Hitch Pin (C).
Installing the Actuator (Lower)
1. Install the 1/2” X 4” bolt (B, Figure 20) and 1/2”
washer (C) through a spacer (D), the actuator (A)
and the second spacer (D). See Figure 18.
2. Secure the bolt with a 1/2” nut (E) and tighten,
however do not over tighten, the spacers should be
free to rotate.
Installing the Wire Harness
1. Raise the seat to connect the snow blower wire
harness (A, Figure 21) to the main connector (B)
located on the right hand side of the machine.
2. Connect the other ends of the harness to the
actuator (C) and the rotating chute motor (D).
Secure the wire harness to the actuator body with
zip ties.
Note: The switch that controls the rotation of the
chute needs to be installed into the control panel and
connected to the unused connector under the control
panel, install the required decal.
Note: The kit will include two wire harnesses, one will
have a round connection for machines with a serial
number of 2013920028 & Below and the other will
have a rectangular connection for machines with a
serial number of 2014013334 & Above.

Securing the Mount to the Machine
1. With the accuator attached, extend the accuator
to its furthest point. This will lift the snow blower
mount into place so it can be secured with a pin (A,
Figure 22) on both sides of the machine. Retract
the accuator all the way in.
2. Using a 1/2” breaker bar (B, Figure 23), carefully
rotate the spring mount pivot (C) clockwise and
connect the spring assist link (A) between the
spring mount pivot and the snow blower mount (D).
3. Secure the spring assist link in place using two (2)
1/2” washers (E) and hair pins (F).
4. Carefully relieve the tension on the spring mount
pivot.
Installing the Drive Shaft
1. With the male end of the drive shaft (A, Figure 24)
inserted into the female end (B), connect the male
end to the spline shaft (C) using the quick connect
coupling (D).

Troubleshooting Chart
While normal care and regular maintenance will extend
the life of your equipment, prolonged or constant use
may eventually require that service be performed to
allow it to continue operating properly.
The troubleshooting guide below lists the most
common problems, their causes and remedies.
See the information in the Maintenance Section for
instructions on how to perform most of these minor
adjustments and service repairs yourself. If you prefer,
all of these procedures can be performed for you by
your local authorized dealer.
Troubleshooting the Snow Blower

PREPARACIÓN

y retire todo felpudo, trineo, tabla, cable y otros objetos
extraños.
2. Desengrane todos los embragues y coloque la
transmisión en neutro antes de poner en marcha el
motor.
3. No opere el equipo sin vestir un abrigo de invierno
adecuado. Evite ropa floja que pueda quedar atascada
en piezas en movimiento. Use calzado que mejore el

4. Manipule el combustible con cuidado; el mismo es
altamente inflamable.
(a) Use un recipiente de combustible aprobado.
(b) Nunca agregue combustible a un motor en
funcionamiento o un motor caliente.
(c) Llene el tanque de combustible en exteriores y con
extremo cuidado. Nunca llene el tanque de combustible
en interiores. Vuelva a colocar la tapa del tanque de
combustible, ciérrela bien y limpie el combustible
derramado.
(d) Nunca llene recipientes dentro de un vehículo o sobre
el lecho de un camión o remolque con un forro plástico.
Siempre coloque los recipientes sobre el suelo, lejos del
vehículo, antes de llenarlos.
(e) Cuando resulte conveniente, retire los equipos a
gas del camión o remolque y colóquelos sobre el suelo
para llenarlos con combustible. Si esto no es posible,
entonces abastézcalos sobre un remolque con un
recipiente portátil, en lugar de una boquilla de surtidor de
gasolina.
(f) Mantenga la boquilla en contacto con el borde de
la boca del tanque de combustible o recipiente en
todo momento, hasta haber terminado de colocar
combustible. No use un dispositivo para trabar y abrir
boquillas.
(g) Vuelva a colocar la tapa del tanque de combustible,
ciérrela bien y limpie el combustible derramado.
(h) Si se derrama combustible sobre su ropa, cámbiese
de inmediato.
5. Ajuste la altura de la caja del colector para limpiar
superficies con grava o piedra triturada.
6. Nunca intente realizar ajustes con el motor en
marcha (excepto cuando lo recomiende el fabricante
específicamente).
7. Permita que el motor y la máquina se ajusten a las
temperaturas exteriores antes de eliminar nieve.
8. Siempre use gafas de seguridad o protección para los

OPERACIÓN

cable de la bujía, desconecte el cable en motores
eléctricos, inspeccione bien la lanzadora de nieve para
constatar si sufrió daños, y repare los daños antes de
volver a poner en marcha y operar la lanzadora de nieve.
4. Si la unidad comienza a vibrar anormalmente, pare el
motor y busque la causa de inmediato. La vibración es,
en general, advertencia de problemas.
5. Pare el motor siempre que deje la posición de operación,
antes de destapar la caja del colector/impulsor o guía
de descarga, y al realizar reparaciones, ajustes o
inspecciones.
6. Al dejar la máquina sin supervisión, desengrane la toma
de fuerza (PTO), baje el accesorio, active el freno de
estacionamiento, pare el motor y quite la llave.
7. Al limpiar, reparar o inspeccionar, asegure que se hayan
detenido el colector/impulsor y todas las piezas móviles.
Desconecte el cable de la bujía y aléjelo de la bujía
para evitar un arranque accidental. No haga funcionar el
motor en interiores, excepto al arrancar el motor o para
transportar la lanzadora de nieve hacia dentro o hacia
fuera del edificio. Abra las puertas externas; los vapores
de escape son peligrosos.
8. Tenga extremo cuidado al operar en laderas. No intente
limpiar laderas empinadas.
9. Nunca opere la lanzadora de nieve sin protecciones,
placas u otros dispositivos protectores apropiados en su
lugar y funcionando correctamente.
10. Nunca apunte la descarga hacia personas o áreas en las
que pueda ocurrir daño a la propiedad. Mantenga a los
niños y a otras personas alejados.
11. No sobrecargue la capacidad de la máquina al intentar
eliminar la nieve a un ritmo demasiado rápido.
12. Nunca opere la máquina a velocidades altas de

utilizando.
