bagshouldbegintoinate,indicatingthatthebladeis
engagedandrotating.
6.Releasethecontrolbar.Ifthebagdoesnotimmediately
deate,itindicatesthatthebladeisstillrotating.The
bladebrakeclutchmaybedeteriorating,and,ifignored,
couldresultinanunsafeoperatingcondition.Have
themachineinspectedandservicedbyanAuthorized
ServiceDealer.
AdjustingtheCuttingHeight
Eachwheelisadjustedindividuallywithawheelheight
adjustmentlever.Cuttingheightsare1inch(25mm),1-1/2
inches(38mm),2inches(51mm),2-1/2inches(64mm),3
inches(76mm),and3-1/2inches(89mm).
DANGER
Adjustingthecuttingheightleverscouldbringyour
handsintocontactwithamovingbladeandresult

ofthegrassbladeatatime.Donotcutbelowthe2-1/4
inch(57mm)settingunlessthegrassissparseoritislate
fallwhengrassgrowthbeginstoslowdown.
Whencuttinggrassover6inches(15cm)tall,rstmow
atthehighestcuttingheightsettingandwalkslower;then
mowagainatalowersettingforthebestlawnappearance.
Ifthegrassistoolongandtheleavesclumpontopofthe
lawn,themachinemayplugandcausetheenginetostall.
Alternatethemowingdirection.Thishelpsdispersethe
